“I am from Norfolk England and my fiancee is Brazilian. Burlow & Spencer told us that they would get my fiancees visa and spouse visa within six weeks for us to marry and love un England. We were Happy to hear this and pais a depositar of £1500 up front and them the full amount later of £5000. My Brazilian fiancee gave up her rented house in Brazil said good bye to her family and l flew out to Brazil to escort her to England together. She stay with my good friend until we hoped to get the both visas Burlow & Spencer had promised within 6 weeks. On arriving in England, we contacted Burlow & Spencer to let them know and to ask them to go ahead and get the visa for us. We spoke to a man on the phone about the arrangement and he out us on hold for a few minutes He them returned to tell us the devistating bad new that they would not get the fiancee visa for my fiancee and Said that she must get it in Brazil. What l replied, your woman lawyer told us directly that we need not apply for it in Brazil, we will get the visa and the spouse onde in England for you. He replied, she is not a lawyer but and agency that works for Burlow & Spencer and she hás misinformed you. We are sorry he Said, l replied, sorry is not good anough, do you realized what hurt and inconveniente and cost you havê caused us. What are we to do now l thought. I them Said, please now today refund our £1500 depositar that l pais through my visa débit card on 12th March 2018. He promised to do só that day but failed to do só. It is now the 28th April 2019 and we are still waiting for our £1500 depositar refund. My Brazilian fiancee and l had to fly back to Brazil after our two months in England and there we them planned to marry. I spoke to and Me Michael Heath at Burlow & Spencer to tell him that we needed our £1500 depositar for our wedfing and reception and he promised to havê it deposited back into my bank account by our flights date 8th May 2018 but all were lie and deceptions. They have many requests from us for our deposit to be returned and many emails and promised from Burlow & Spencer to do só but all to no avail. Michael Heath sent us an email that threatened my Brazilian wife and l saying that if we took them to Court or made any proceefings against their company that would give them a bad name, Burlow & Spencer would take action against us. This hurt and worried us very much as all that we wanted was our deposit of £1500 back that we honestly and trusted this company with. They still recuse to pay it. Now they are in Liudation and are on trial. What a Wicked defruading group of fraudsters. From Edmund & Rosana Lynskey. Brazil.”

“They are crooks. Very bad people who can endanger citizens. Thieves. They do not have empanthy over the people they steal from. They are liars. They defrauded me of £2733 which was an application fee of a disabled and very less priviledged person to obtain further leave to remain. Adam, Mahommed, Ahmed ,the whole group including the owners of the company. They caused a lot of problems. May they face the maximum sentence suiting them. Up to now i have not received my refund since 8 months ago. They are criminals”

“i had case with them case # 145995 they charged me fixed amount 4200£ and promised they will fight for our case until we will won the case. when time came for responce all there office numbers werent responding and on were on voice mechine, left numerous emails and then got calls from private number and asked for more 2500£ when we mentioned we paid them fixed amount in advance their attitude changed and mr reece who is actually mr adam from burlow spencer claimed he is from one source solicitor that is why they want more money to continue our case...it was good try to rob us gain.but not this time mr reece/adam...... i would like to aware everybody that burlow spencer and one source solicitors are same fella's.. burlow and spencer had 3 offices ,london bhirmingham and manchester ...Same. one source solicitors has 3 offices now in london, bhirmingham and manchester.. burlow and spencer was not regulated by RSA neither OISC , but both RSA& OISC had alot of comlaints against them.... they clearly dodge the people they cant runaway..its not that easy.. i wont let them to take my 4200 £ ....and they been reported to FCA, FRAUD ACTION , TRADING STANDRADS ,RSA, ND OISC.. AND there is enough proofs that adam from burlow is a reece from one source is same... if some one trying to chase them he/she can try to contact one source london office.... and for comlaint report them to action fraud ,local police and trading standrad nd financial obudsman.. hope these information will be enough for burlow spencer's victims ........”

“very poor advice they dont know the difference between a 6 month visa to a 2 and a half year visa and the most expensive lawyers the person who sold me the package was a conman after you pay hes not to be seen again please stay away”

“Instructed for Spouse visa application which was refused. Instructed for appeal - Solicitor (Shahista) left the firm - Replacement solicitor (Nadeem) stop responding when requested to clarify some open points After a week, made a complain - Refused to help and after that no response. Have raised matter with relevant authorities. Poor advise/Poor customer service - Don't believe their success rate Wonder why they are under investigation from a public body”

“Don't were to start this firm is the most useless fuckers iv ever come across let start my story I had this come to do the work for the imagratin visa for my wife first they lost all my documents and after more than twenty phone calls and a treat that I'd go to the office with my mates to find it ..They were found I wrote a review saying that not to use these people you be better of putting your money on a three legged horse in the grand national with this they threatened me that if I dident take down the review they would write to home office to desrupt my wife visa so I took it down but know my wife is home im going to tell everyone what a bunch of cunts this company is i tried many times to find out what was happening but the phone is always busy and no one ever comes back so please leave this company well alone they will only bring you more stress and frustration but if you want to commit suicide and you want to throw your money away this is the firm for you all there good reviews are completely fake”

I hired Burlow and Spencer to assist with a Green Card application, which cost £2000. They missed the telephone consultation twice so I asked for a refund. They agreed to refund me (back in August 2018!). The money was not forthcoming so I went through the small claims court. Burlow and Spencer did not bother responding to the court letter but did reply to me saying they would refund me (this is back in October 2018). They never paid the money back and the county court ruled against them and in my favour. I have chased numerous times for the money however they now ignore all phone calls and emails They are a bunch of crooks. They clearly have no regard or respect for customers or the court rulings - unfortunately I am unable to continue to go through the courts to enforce the judgement as my wife and I will be leaving for the USA. As a point of note they are not lawyers or solicitors but are a company (a crooked one!) that work through a loop hole in Immigration law that allows them to operate under their supervisor "DDR Legal Services LLP" who are regulated by The National Association of ROMANIAN Bars ... Make of that what you will... Also when I paid the money the transaction receipt I received was from a company called URBX LTD, which is registered as a marketing company, however it is a dormant company... again make of that what you will I can't stress enough how awful this company is and how strongly I recommend people stay clear of them. It still pains me that a months worth of my wages went to Burlow and Spencer instead of my family. I can only hope that at some point soon the people in charge get their comeuppance so that no one else is conned by these criminals. Needless to say I have never been given my money back....”

“NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE!! Once I paid they were utter trash! They were no help at all. Every communication I managed to get tools months and constant delays and excuses! I have requested a refund but no reply! I have requested an investigation from the fraud company, the found out these useless people are already under investigation! I hope you make the right decision and avoid these people at all costs! I have wasted £1200 and months without seeing my wife!! I have now been able to complete by myself which was so much stress but I had no choice thanks to these ******.”

“Doesn't even deserve 1 star I had to give this company a one star due to the fact that you are not able to give 0 or minus stars. Well in my opinion this company should not be trading at all, if you do come across them skip straight by as you will end up being conned. They take your money straight away and the do ABSOLOUTLY NOTHING. Any good reviews about this company in my opinion are obviously from their own staff and not from their customers. I started my spouse visa application with them back in February, when they took my money they told me my wife would be with me within 6 weeks. As November neared some 8 months later and 3 or 4 postponedments from Burlow and Spencer with lame excuse after lame excuse I have decided to cancel my application with them and go with a reputable firm. I have asked for my £3000 pounds to be refunded but they have ignored every email I have sent now, so I have reported them to the Office of Immigration Services Commission who are investigating them. I have also contacted UK fraud services who have told me that Burlow and Spencer's are already under investigation for Fraud who prey on the vulnerable. So my advice is stay well clear of these crooks..... No doubt I will receive a reply from them for this review with threats of prosecution as that is what they seem to do with every bad review. Update 4th January. After giving Burlow and Spencer all the information they required they have still not got back to me on this.... stay well clear as the OISC are investigating this company!!! Update 7th a January 2019 still nothing from Burlow and Spencer regarding this. This company is happy to take people's monies and not do any work what so ever and then go silent when you ask for your monies to be refunded. This company is NOT to be trusted and in my opinion I would be very weary of amy 5 star reviews. UPDATE 8th January 2019 Still nothing back from Burlow scam merchants... however as one reviewer has correctly put Burlow and Spencer along with parent company are under criminal investigation by the OISC and are due to appear in court on 18th February 2019. I have also been advised that I should take them to the small claims court to reclaim my refund and advise everyone else likewise. I am also writing to trading standards as this company need closing down before they rip off anyone else. I would advise anyone that wants to find A reputable immigration service then look on the government website where you will find a list of qualified immigration lawyers as Burlow and Spencer are not qualified!!!”

“Exactly the same terrible experience I am undergoing, paid 2000k GBP for legal services for my green card, they then ran with money and offered no services. After 20-30 email they agreed to pay be back,, this was in September and,,, you guessed it.. nothing back. Scammers, disloyal and uncaring. How do we all sue this company for damages?”

“I had a case (155985) for an unmarried partnership visa the Burlow and Spencer, which I transfer the visa fee of £1033 to their accounts for the standard application. But later I decided to switch to a premium visa service which I booked and pay the visa application by myself hence the application fee that I transfer to them was unused. They had agreed to refunded back to me on 23/10/18. Since then I have chased them on numerous phone calls and email asking for the refunded but no one responded or give me an update of the money and the response I get is that the account team will contact me but its been 2 months I have never received a single call from the account team. The amount meant is a lot of money for myself..... They are stealing my money and don't have any intention in refunding. I will now take this matter to the legal ombudsman. My sincere advice to anyone who wants to use them is that please don't use them!!!!!!”

“I gave one star because there is no option to give negative stars or something to identify this company is fraud. Unfortunately, I didn’t read those other reviews before I hired them. In a very critical time in my life, I hired them just to assist me for a visit visa for a relative. They insisted for complete payment upfront, which I did. After payment, I noticed they do not care about my case at all. The documents they kept sending me for my confirmation were filled with wrong information and a few times they sent me wrong document which belonged to other clients. I sending the documents back and kept calling them permanently and they seemed not to care. At the end they 'do any thing for me. I am going to take my case to the court, and I advise anybody who read this review not to hire them. They are not lowers. They are not genuine and they activity is not legal.”
