Ordered item before Xmas with stated Xmas delivery. Had to chase with no update via email or anything after expected despatch date. Advised item was out of stock, yet still selling online as in stock for Xmas delivery. Upon chasing for an update as I was keen to keep the order in progress advised no update. Chased during first week in Jan to be told still no update. Two days later no communication they just refunded me.

Can't be bothered with customers and faulty damaged goods had to repair myself quick to take the the money though ohh and delivery took 3 weeks for an in stock item

Ordered item and was expected to be delivered by 22-12-20 then received an email to say it was out of stock until January. Will not order from this website again.

Delivery was meant to be before or on 17th December. Still not received parcel and can’t get in touch with Building Supplies Direct or the company delivering the goods

I ordered a part. Few days later the money was refunded. No explanation nothing. No contact at all until invitation to write a review. Ha. Poor service

I ordered some wood screws on 25 November 2020 the money went out of my account it is now Dec 21 2020 & I have still only received half of the order, they only shipped that because I got fed up with waiting & thought I had been scammed ( I still may have i don't know) I keep looking at the website & everything is advertised as in stock ready for next day delivery, makes me wonder what method of delivery they use!!!!?? top tip; order things a long time before you actually need them

Ordered a bench vice and soft jaws. Company cancelled order for the vice as it was not in stock despite saying it was when ordered but I was sent vice jaws with same £6 delivery charge without option to cancel. What use are the jaws without the vice. Told I can get a refund but will need to pay postage to return item. Joke!!

Arrived smashed box was in pieces and broken parts including Handel. Parts missing . Tired calling but no answers. Terrible service

I ordered 4 products have only ever received 1 product and given a refund for 2 and the other one has never turned up. If i find an office address im going down to get my money bk ive been robbed

Firs experience with BSD. I ordered products - good website - and then nothing. It turned out the products were out of stock. But no-one and no system bothered to tell me so I wasted a week. When I checked progress of order, I found it was cancelled. Refund came through quickly so that was OK. But it was a pity not to be informed properly.

Ordered hinges from them before noon. Next day got a mail thanking me for my order then one saying not in stock and refund being made. Money then refunded. Why not mail me and ask me if they are urgent to see if I am prepared to wait, or if an alternative will do. I placed an order elsewhere, they rang me and said not in stock and apologised but offered a better alternative for the same cash that came the next day. Take note Building Supplies Direct.

I ordered something on line only to be told a day later that they did not have the item and did not know when they could supply one. My bank account was credited 2 days later

Terrible! They say they have stock when you place your order - they don't but they will not tell you this. They will NOT inform you and will send what they can scrape up. In my case they could not supply the crucial items I needed but did send the superfluous at full shipping cost. I was refunded for the items they did not have but you need to monitor your payment account to find this out - no email, no phone call, no response when you query this practice.

Incorrect stock levels. Orders just get cancelled without a call to the customer. Poor service. Never use them again.
