I decided not to take my pet they refused to refund the £40 or upgrade from pet friendly. Now u don't expect top of the range when it's pet friendly but the van we were allocated was appalling to say the least The oven didn't work only 3 rings out of 4 worked the gas fire didn't work either there were only 1 curtain across bedroom windows which were hung by only 3 hooks, inside the lounge window frames was black mould, the floor sloped to the left and was 'springy' by the door 'which is a sign of damp' by my reckoning this van should be condemned!!! This was at parkdean resort sandylands in Scotland will never book with breakfree again

Had to cancel holiday due to Covid travel restrictions. 2 months on and I still cannot get a refund, despite many email exchanges. Why they need to hold your money for 35 days before refunding, I do not know. I'm now far beyond their "35 days" and still awaiting a refund. I wouldn't ever use this company ever again- utterly appalling.

Had a holiday cancelled due to covid and was informed that I would get a refund after 35 days. It's been over 35 days and despite chasing I still have not had the refund!!!!!

Booked a break (Daily Mail Promotion) in July 2019 - 3 nights at Haven Church Farm for 15th May 2020 £137 - canx due to CoVid on 29 April - took option to Transfer booking to Combe Haven, Hastings 3 nights 16 April 2021 was confirmed by Breakfree but not Haven .... Chased numerous times and was eventually told £14 due for peak supplement - paid in October 2020 - still no confirmation from Haven (who advised had not heard from Breakfree) More than 12 e mails to Breakfree + Messages + 3 page letter to the Colchester address. Require a refund for the Total Amount paid £151 - Has anyone ever received a refund ????? Footnote : booked the 3 day break direct with Haven for 16 April this month for £112 !!

Booking cancelled due to the Covid-19. The email sent in my opinion was very misleading, in large print only 2 options offered 1) re book now or 2) credit for later holiday. No mention that I could claim a refund or how to easily claim a refund, I therefore mistakenly chose a credit in the belief that I could rebook easily as sted by Breakfree that we will be given priority. Why wouldn't I? how wrong I was. Several attempts at to re-booking with different dates and locations with no success. On their main site, funny how it has vacancies for dates requested! I have sent several emails for help, not all emails replied to and some replies were insulting to my intelligeince. In the end gave up and got a no quibble refund via my credit card.

Due to corona virus and ongoing shielding and age 75 yr olds we are now unable to use our credit note issued by BreakFree and there response to our request for a refund has met with an absolute NO book by the 30th November 20 or you will loose your money. Absolute terrible response to customer, I will never use them again.

Do Not book with BreakFree Holidays. They will keep hold of your deposits and should you have to cancel in any shape or form you will not get your money back. Play safe and book through the maine holiday companies and read all the other reviews about this company on other different sites! You have been warned!

Due to COVID 19 we are not able to go for our holiday, and trying to ask BreakFree to cancel it, they just will not refund, and it is like banging your head on the wall with Sarah, she will not give in. Don’t waste your time with them.

Breakfree cancelled a booking for 15/05 and informed me on 12/06 that they were processing my refund and it would take upto 28 days. Roll on to today , 31/07 and still no sign of my refund and Breakfree have ignored any attempts to contact them for an answer.

Holiday cancelled due to Covid19. Misleading email sent with options for refund or credit note. Ended up with credit note when had asked for a refund. Small print...very cleverly done. Got sent email for other discounted holidays, sorry for thinking I could use my credit note, why wouldn't I, small print again was it? Told no, have to use it on a another offer that they will send me another time. Disgusted.

PRICES NOT AS ADVERTISED AND SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Due to a "technical issue" on their website, Breakfree advertised the holiday I booked £120 less than it should have been. I was advised I would have to pay the new price and there was no offer of discount to compensate for their mistake. I was advised to submit a complaint by email but Breakfree have not responded (9 days later). I even sent 2 follow up emails to chase it. I now have no choice but to cancel this family holiday. This was booked as part of a promotion, of which there are no affordable alternatives for another holiday on the same dates. Horrible experience, no holiday and a lot of disappointment. Thanks Breakfree.

They provide cheap holiday deals. I took a holiday to France over May half term, great caravan, good deal in a Eurocamp van.
