Called for a cappacino and skinny latte today. They had no coffee beans they were on order. How can a cafe that's sells coffee run out of coffee beans disgraceful.

Now loss making and turning nasty. I parked at the Booths Kirkby Lonsdale store at Christmas 2023, spent over £30 in the store and left after just over half an hour. They hold out free customer parking for an hour. I have just received a menacing letter from their parking agents demanding £100. It masquerades as a fine in a way little short of fraudulent misrepresentation but in reality is just a trumped up erroneous invoice with arbitrary amounts and an arbitrary nonsense so-called “appeal” process - designed like everything else to mimic a penalty notice from a public body with public powers. Booths have a chance to do the decent thing and call them off but regardless no legal force unless awarded to their cowboy parking agents (Parkingeye”) in Court - which, of course, will never happen + I’ll happily see them there with maximum well-deserved adverse publicity for Booths - as should all their other victims. I used to love Booths and regard them as one of the best things the North West had to offer. I’ve even gone out of my way to support them by ordering their food from Amazon at my main home in London. I can now only assume they’re resorting to sharp practice in a foolhardy attempt to survive. Very sad and destined to accelerate their self-destruction.

I used to like shopping there. But certain a member of staff has not good customs services skills. We are talking about Mark at Booths, 4 Millbrook Way, Penwortham, Preston PR1 0XW. He is very arrogant, look and talk customers down. He has been working there for too long and has forgotten the basic rules of good customer service. Customers don't need a sergeant major. They help and understanding. Specially, for old people. In other places, he would have been fired long ago for this kind of attitude.

I tried the beef stroganoff, the bourgignon, the lzmb tagline snd the pork Dijon. All were uninteresting and not as good as they used to be a few years ago. However, the saving grace was the veggie lasagne. Truly superb and excellent value. I’m not a vegetarian but this was something else. !!!

I live across the road from the St.Anne's store, which we have supported since we moved north. Since the outbreak of covid this supermarket has been our saviour, anything we couldn't buy locally we found in Booths. I ordered my Christmas shop which I collected today, everything was top quality, the vegetable pack in particular. Having moved from Alton in Hampshire where we had an excellent Waitrose, I am tempted to name "Waitrose" the "Booths of the South"

we have been customers of Booths for years and have noticed a steady decline in standards over the past 3 years particularly at their Poulton store. There always seems to be a shortage of staff for the checkouts and finding someone to help you locate things is almost impossible. Shelves are frequently missing everyday items. We used to look forward to having lunch in the café after doing our shopping but nowadays it is not the pleasant experience it used to be. The service is incredibly slow and it is not unusual to wait for over 20 minutes for a coffee before trying to find a table uncluttered with dishes that have not been cleared away.. The café itself badly needs redecoration and the furniture would not be out of place in a roadside greasy spoon. Strangely this appears not to be the case in Garstang or Lytham where standards are much higher. Come on Booths you can do better than this.

Five Stars goes the lovely lady who served us our breakfast and drinks in Ulverston, Cumbria booths cafe. On the other hand I would have rated the management who were having a lovely sit down getting waited on hand and foot a total of Zero Stars. After being pushed past several times for them to access the kitchen area (bearing in mind we had watched them go out side for a cigarette many times and then re enter the kitchen) we then saw the lady working behind the counter struggle to place a full tray of hot beverages down on there table while one of the management team watched her struggle without even offering to help. You’d think as them being apart of the same team they’d work as a team and not single the cafe workers out. On the other hand I would like to thank the lady (who’s name we won’t disclose) for the lovely service who always continues to be pleasent and serves us in a professional manner regardless of her surrounding (in this case rude colleagues). For furure staff meetings I’d suggest a little more organisation and preferably not to be mixed with paying customers.

What an amazing looking store! Whoever designed the interior has done a superbe job - the lighting and the aesthetics made for a really calm, soothing experience. The quality of food offered is excellent and the staff were simply lovely - welcoming and with time to spare to talk. I used to think Booth's was the Waitrose of the north - well frankly, Booth's are streets ahead of Waitrose and indeed any other supermarket out there.
