I highly recommend Books of the world despatched to the world. Great company , great service and brilliant customer service . The site has great book choices, great prices and amazing discounts.Books arrive in mint condition always along with beautiful bookmark and well packaged.

A rip off. I ordered a book on the clear understanding (based on the BD website) that delivery to me in Thailand would be 'within 8 to 12 business days'. I need the book for a Boom Club discussion. I have been informed without explanation by 'Eva' (who first claimed that no statement about delivery 'within 8 to 12 business days' was ON the website, until I showed her the statement), and without apology that the book will take at least ONE MONTH. No apology, no refund. A complete rip-off.

Preorder way in advance, they then cancel the order claiming supplier issues, only to find out they resisted it for a much higher price the same day. Upon emailing turns out they priced it too low and state under their terms and conditions that they don’t have to honour it. Refuse to respond to any further emails, do not care about customers just their bottom line.

Never order book from Book depository. Disappointed with the service , my book never received when I asked they say they can’t track the despatch . What a scam. Don’t get cheated !

I ordered a book earlier this month. They later cancelled my order without any real explanation. If you go to their website, you can find the same book for sale for slightly more money. This is a very dishonest way to operate a business.

shrink wrapping did not protect the enclosed book, which was not cheap. An expensive book should be packaged with more than a shrink wrapping.

ordered some books from book depository back in February since they were the only providers of certain books for my son. They rely on general post - so I was prepared to wait for my books - but after a month I asked them for an update. After generic replies - I asked them for proof that they actually mailed the books. At this point I was told that the books had just been sent "again" - and I am yet to receive anything after 2 months of waiting. I think if you are not in the UK you are definitely supposed to avoid this company.

I purchased this book November 28,2021. They advised me it was sent out...No tracking number so therefore I can't even confirm it was sent out... After weeks of back and forth emails and promises to resend me this book... 4 months later on February 15,2022 I was advised they no longer have the book.... and canceling my order...

My experience with this company is extremely disappointing!! Please do not order any books from this company!! On December 25,the status of my order from 5 weeks ago showed "Shipment returned to shipper". When I contacted the customer service, the agent named Rachelle informed me that she would order a replacement copy which would be shipped in approximately 3 weeks. This would be satisfactory enough. However today, I received another email from them saying They're sorry to let me know they are unable to fulfill my order of the item, and have issued a refund. Very poor customer service!They are totally SCAM!!

OVERCHARGING for DELIVERY, and have a discriminatory attitude towards Veterans', Seniors and Pensioners. There are better more reliable suppliers you should consider first.

Ordered books months ago, but never got them. I sent them a message and got the information that my books had been returned to them. The customer should not have to find this out themselves, the company should notify about returned orders.

Terrible jackasses. They put a book on sale on Amazon and refuse to refund me the sale difference a few days after charging me full price. Then I try to get any help by contacting them and they send the same exact copy paste message over and over and over. Absolute clowns.

We ordered two books, the package arrived with only one book, when I reached out, they said the package had arrived and would not help further, I responded twice, clarifying an item was missing, and they sent me the same response. The book we did receive came damaged because they put it into a to small package.

I am a African American author who published my very first children’s book on Amazon through their KDP program which allows authors to self-publish their books. They have a option to allow distributors to sell copies of the book, in which I do not have the option checked off. My book is now being sold for a ridiculously high price by this company and without my permission. When I contacted them to resolve the issue because obviously a mistake was made and they were not informed by Amazon I do not allow distribution at this time, they were very rude. They stated they would not talk to me about anything, and to speak with my publisher. I am the publisher of my book. I told them I will take legal action if necessary and I mean it. It says a lot about the company’s morals and values, because if a author contacted me and told me that they do not want their book distributed by third party’s I would have respected their wishes, after all it is their book and their hard work and money they put into it. What makes things worse is this was my first book, and I feel it has just been taken away from me. The experience has been completely stolen away.

I received a book from them with print so small you need a magnifying glass to read it. I think they just do knockoffs of the originals. This is the second time it has happened to me. I would never order from them again. Buyer beware. I think they were bought by a big online seller and the products are now very poor.

Order several books March of this year. I emailed their support and was told my email does not match the order email. I checked as I do have business email as well. In my logged in account of the original email it shows my orders -- all the orders! I took screenshots and sent them. Mr Nazihr T. Of customer service refused to help demanding I provide him further information. I sent him answers to his questions. As I was waiting, I tried to find the books myself. I contacted the post office asking them to look for any of packages and found one of them. Again, I received no notification at all for the books. I emailed again Nazihr T telling him I found one package but the other one is still missing. I also asked him why did I not get any notification. Post office said it was the shippers fault. Nazihr T refused to read my message and continued to ask about the package I already found to prove identify! I told him several times, it's the other one I need. And emailed the response from the other email as well. Again, even though the book is shown in my logged in account at their website. Two months late and counting! Still missing one package. And purposefully unhelpful and frustrating customer service. Stay away from Book Depository! Book Depository staff: do not reply with a insincere request asking me to contact support! I already tried. Let other potential customers see how you're treating customers!
