“Documents did eventually arrive”

“Updated from earlier. Rep from Bike sure replied promptly to my complaint - could not reinstate the contract because it had been cancelled 10 days earlier. I set up another contract with them, they dismissed the cancellation fee (which was unfair in the first place). 60% of the contract fee was returned in total. I accept partial fault for not reading emails but the fact that they cancelled my service and left me driving my bike uninsured without making an effort to know that I am aware of the situation is very poor, illegal and very dangerous. 3 stars is based on policy coverage, value and ease of communication despite this mess, I think they are a reputable company, just make sure you abide with all their conditions and check they have received the supporting info.”

“Poor. They obviously have terrible IT systems as you will get passed around endlessly between “departments”. Staff are helpful but undermined by the chaos around them.”

“customer service advisor was rude , short, she came across on the telephone as if she couldn't be bothered to speak to you. it felt awkward. Half way through my policy year i changed my bike from a fire blade to BMW GS they charge me 200 pounds. Rip off. This company do not care about customers. Good luck with Bikesure.”

“Only just above the worst of brokers wouldn't use them ever again, had two policies tried to cancel the first and all the money had disappeared in costs and cancellation costs in only a couple of months and the second policy lasted a full year, but the renewal cost was higher than the first year, pays to pay a bit more and get decent broker insurer with good customer service 45 years driving experience never had to deal with such shocking service think this broker is backed up by Adrian Flux so wouldn't suggest going with them either!!”

“We got a quote from CompareTheMarket for BikeSure cover for my daughter' scooter. Daughter is unemployed but we thought we'd add commuting to the policy in anticipation of her getting a job. The transaction was accepted and we were issued with the certificate of insurance. BikeSure then slapped on a £276 policy change fee as they say you can't commute if you are unemployed. This was despite the quote system accepting the details we gave it A full new policy from BikeSure, without commuting, is approx £280. Really disappointed with BikeSure over this - we cancelled the policy and we're only getting about £100 back from our £320 policy - having been insured for a mere 14 days. A rather expensive experience and we feel we're being unfairly punished and ripped off with this. I'll certainly not recommend or use BikeSure in the future.”

“I used a comparison site, Hastings, and bikesure came up at a fair price which included legal cover. I input everything asked of me and Buy now came up! No questions of modifications, I checked the form infill again then bought it. Great I thought all sorted. Next day an email pinged in ring us you may not be insured! Hassle but I rang waited a while and got through. They said do you have modifications and I told them yes but nothing was asked yesterday a day I've paid the money in full! That's the comparison site she said! No it cannot be cause it said Buy now not ring any number to discus further. She came back after taking the mod which was an exhaust. I was a ked to pay additional £20. I said I was mis sold the policy and mentioned FCA and she said no it was the comparison site again! I said I wanted to cancel but having my money said there would be administration costs! I was trapped!!!! I paid the extra £20 and complained again read mis selling and FCA but nothing! I have record my policy in the post and it shows the price bought on line and no mention of the extra £20...strange. the exhaust is mentioned on the document. I would be careful buying from Bikesure again cause the cost's obviously increase with a call next day. Not good service and more hassle /stress! My policy is PTBTA05×××× Not impressed and annoyed customer.”

“Its just not as clear what documents you should hand in!! Needs to be written clearer and i was on the phone too many time as tmi would send them somethinng and they would claim they meed something else too... Can they just state exactly what they need and stopp with the phonecalls and annoying message alert they send you!!”

“Horrendous company, wanted licence code which we provided . They then said they could not validate so have to resubmit. They wanted photos of where bike was being kept overnight and they wanted proof of cbt. It’s like they don’t believe anyone. I would not recommend them to anyone and certainly would not use them again. AVOID!!”

“PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY (BIKESURE) AT ALL COSTS WHEN LOOKING TO INSURE YOU MOTORCYCLE. This company throw the hook out with a low price compared to competitors and once you bite, they will reel you in and then boom......2 days later they will hit you with an email telling you to contact them urgently or your insurance will be null and void. In my case, when I contacted them (as soon as I recieved this email), they said I had not declared an accident from over a year ago ..... Now, this accident in question was not even an accident that involved myself!!! My wife was in HER car on her OWN, stationary at traffic lights when another driver hit her car! I wasn't even in the same country at the time! BIKESURE said as my name was on the same insurance policy at the time this will affect my initial quotation with them and they will have to provide a new quote which was more than double of the first quote!!!! Wait....what? Yes that's right, they tried to DOUBLE the quotation because my WIFES car was hit by another car more than a year ago when I wasn't even in the country!! So, I laughed and told them to where to go and to cancel the policy that I had taken out with them only 2 days prior, to be told there was a cancellation fee!!! Excuse me what? Yes, a cancellation fee more than what the deposit was for the insurance. Now let me also say, the customer service this from this company is zero......nada......zilch. They will talk over you. They won't listen to anything you say. They will steal as much money from you as they can. They are SCAMMING people....It's a big con. They will try to extort every penny possible for any reason whatsoever. I am persistent and won't give in, so in the end I managed to get my full deposit back after a 'very long' heated discussion with them over the phone and it was only when I threatened to report them to the ombudsman and negative review them over all social media platforms that they finally gave in and agreed to a refund of my deposit. Lastly, you may think that you have nothing to worry about as you don't have anything that they could possibly pick up on that will affect the cost......WRONG....they will just double or treble your policy on the rewnewal date (don't believe me? Check out the other negative reviews) Please do yourself a favour.....don't try to save yourself a few quid by going with a scam company like Bikesure, pay a little extra and go to a more reputable insurance provider.”

“ABSOLUT COWBOY OF A COMPANY. No policy documents sent, call after call....hassle after hassle, and after all the time wasting when I do not want their service, they charged my card cancellation fees. unbelievable!”

“As has been posted already here, I would not recommend Bikesure. Poor customer service, hours on the phone, documents incomplete, tried to cancel insurance within 14 days ' cooling off period' and was still charged a cancellation fee before the policy had even started! Was actually told that the cooling-off period did not apply to them as was stated in their terms. I am left feeling they are not trustworthy and I would like to trust whoever insures me. As others have mentioned here, my declaration was questioned and they tried to increase my mileage estimation and double the premium - sales team trickery”

“Bikesure produced a quote online for my nephew which I was paying for. He answered all their questions and was quoted £768 for a 286cc motorbike. They then sent a letter saying the insurance would be cancelled as they wanted more information. The quote of £768 which was obviously never going to be honoured was changed to over £2400. As this was ridiculous the insurance had to be cancelled. It would have been fair by law to pay for the 3-4 days of insurance they provided but they insisted that over £70 was due to them! This is not fair and they really didn’t care in the slightest. AVOID BIKESURE if you do not wish to be treated fairly.”
