AVOID - AVOID - AVOID Bought one of their more expensive beds and after 3 months the mattress is sagging down in the area you lay. They sent out someone to inspect it who clearly said there is a fault and he realised what we was concerned about. Bensons phoned us to say that the “engineer” had said that there was no faults found. This is clearly a lie and we wished we had recorded the conversation we had with the person. AVOID THIS COMPANY - BUY ELSEWHERE!!!

STILL WAITING REFUND AFTER 4 WEEKS B5412837/ B5412838 (this is left just in case Bensons do read their reviews and they will know who I am) Appalling customer service after 5 months of consistent issues and had to take 4 annual leave days for non deliveries, damaged goods I returned mg bedbase, mattress & headboard on 6th September and was assured on 7th September on their portal it showed all items returned and was told I would receive a full refund which would be in my account within 5-7 working days no surprise this has not happened and still waiting 4 weeks later even after making 5 phone calls, email sent to CEO and enquiries nothing. Started a resolution with Resolver today 6th October listing my issues with supporting evidence and all Bensons did was send automated email they will respond within 10 working days. This company is not truthful to their customers they do not contact them back and don’t care how much stress they cause the company. I advise people to be aware and read reviews before buying from Bensons they are a disgrace.

Awful! Shocking! Non existent customer service. Ordered new bed and mattress January 2022. Expected delivery May 2022. On the day of the delivery (9am) I received a text to say the bed wasn’t available. Yet 2 days before I had a text with a delivery time slot 🤷‍♀️ and to make it worse I had booked the day off work! Fast forward to July, bed arrives 🥳 however the box was so badly damaged it looked like it had been dropped off a skyscraper and dragged along behind the van. As you can imagine at this point 7 months on I was fuming…. Several days later when I eventually got through to customer services, they told me a replacement would be sorted within 4 weeks. After numerous phone calls, hours spent on hold, September 2nd 22 I cancelled the order. But the finance had already taken 2 finance payments (£82) It’s now October 5th 22 (10 months later) I am still fighting for my refund of £82. The customer service is shocking , they don’t answer the phone let alone respond to emails!! AVOID

Absolutely apauling customer services, its non existant !!! Hours left in a queue then drops out, no reply to emails. Wrong item sent and can't get a refund because I didn't check it immediately. Don't buy from this company its horrendous, its no wonder their stores are closing. Trying to take it further but they won't respond. Just be aware!!

Terrible Customer Service! Avoid. Ordered online headboard & bed. Received confirmation and few days later the delivery date. Few more days later received email advising not available. Few more days later another email advising confirming delivery date. To date no one can advise what is available or not. Online I can still order the same items - so this means either they are inefficient in updating stock or it is a strategy to take fake orders to improve their cash flow. Impossible to get hold of Internet Sales. Phone system all over the place- sometimes there is an index sometimes not and then you end up in a department that cannot help. No replies to emails. New telephone orders number answers but cannot help you with your existing order. Ring back works but they cannot help you and only can put you back in the queue to the line you cannot get through to. Internet sales average queue 8-12 calls ahead but does not seem to move and each call ahead can take 15-20 mins, so a 4 hour queue if you can manage to wait or if it moves at all. Maybe there is only 1 person managing. New order telephone sales advised to try Internet Sales on Saturday but when you try there is no option to speak with then and you speak with new sales who cannot help. Use a credit card to make the order and if you do not succeed dealing with the issue don’t waste your time - just arrange a chargeback with you credit card company. Good luck!

Atrocious customer service, with no one taking responsibility. Failure to pick up old mattress on agreed date. Failure to comply with the agreement to deliver new mattress to a room of our choice. Failure to respond to my emails, sent almost 3 months ago. Go elsewhere if you want a smooth, efficient service, rather than a company that just wants to take your money and then ignore you.

I wish there was a minus star for this shocking company. My 84 year old Mother bought a mattress in store at Chelmsford (initially not a soul to help her), waited in all day on the specified delivery date and nothing. No answer so took two buses to get to the store to actually speak to someone. Again, not a soul so she went into the staff room where a girl said you can't come in here, this is for staff. She said, good, I'm looking for staff! Delivery rearranged but she had two terrible nights on the mattress. She went back to see about exchange and was told the exchange rules. I'm pretty certain she wasn't made aware of all this before she handed over the £1000. She's since gone in again to choose a £300 mattress to exchange after the 40 nights but having paid £1000 for the original, won't get any difference in price refund. If no mattress had been suitable she would lose all the money. Furthermore she has to pay another £100 as 10% of the original cost plus delivery costs to be able to exchange to the £300 mattress. They will no doubt sell this on as refurbished and make a massive profit from my Mum. This is absolutely disgusting. Do not buy from this company.

Ordered a mattress that as delivered in June 2022 and it was faulty (springs coming out the sides of mattress). I have tried so hard to contact them since to rectify the issue with zero luck. Both in store and through email their customer support team. I have one email asking for more detail and then back to radio silence. Its now 3 months I have had a faulty mattress and looks like little hope of getting them to respond. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling expensive, faulty items and not even having the curtesy to respond and try and rectify the situation. Avoid at all costs.

Benson for beds has a terrible compromise with customers. I bought a mattress which I regretted to buy after a week. I phoned for my refund and they said to keep the 20% of the value of my mattress. So, I lost £150! I think it's terrible just I changed my mind after a week.

Shocking customer service, can't speak to anyone! Hours waiting to speak to someone and then told they knew a different item was sent as what I ordered was discontinued!! So now I have a £695 Headboard and they will not refund or pick up as they say I should have checked it at the time but it arrived on the day of my move and went straight to removals. Do not buy from this company they take your money and do not care about customers.

Cancelled night before and given date after waiting over a month for delivery. Rang to adjust date of delivery. 'You are number 40 in the queue' Yep. I will be cancelling that order then 'You are Number 39 in the queue' Can't think why everyone goes to IKEA now.

Awful service. Good in the store when they want your money and then absolutely shocking service with everything since. Our bed arrived damaged after having to wait ages for it to be delivered. A replacement base was then ordered and should have arrived yesterday, with our headboard finally (which you can’t order with the base by the way, so has to come separately) but the delivery men arrived to say they were given the wrong base. So no base as promised and apparently they can’t install the headboard as a result. We’ve now been given another delivery date (for the new base) which is ages away. This is not a fault with the delivery men but a massive fault of Benson for Beds. Absolutely appalling service and sadly, I’ve heard of many others since who have also experienced similar issues with this company and have had to wait months for issues to be resolved. I had also read other bad reviews but ignored them as I thought I’d give BfB a chance. I really wish we had listened to them. As first time buyers this was a huge cost for us and we are so disappointed with the lack of care for their products and customer service. We were sold damaged goods. I really hope they can get it right this third time. If you’re reading this, please do not make the same mistake we did. Listen to the reviews!! Save yourself the future hassle and avoid this company.

I ordered a bed online from Bensons for Beds, on 7.8.22 paid in full. I have now had two delivery dates, which have been cancelled by email the night before. I now have a new delivery date of 3.11.22, I have no confidence that this is going to happen as the bed is no longer showing on the website, they are quick to take your money, but no guarantee you will ever receive a bed. Appalling customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM BENSONS FOR BEDS.

If I could leave 0 starts I would. They CANNOT DELIVER! Got my house in July, to date I am still not living there as I don't have any beds. I ordered my beds at the beginning of August with a 3 week delivery of the beds I orderered, they have rearranged delivery 3 times now and the latest was the 18th October, I have cancelled my order with a full refund. They lied twice about what the delay was about. The simple fact is they can't deliver. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, it will only result in disappointment.

Delivery set for 2nd Sept, that delivery cancelled and rearranged for the 13th Sept. The bed never came and compensation was a 50.00 gift voucher to be used in store. Bloody insult!!

I ordered a bed on the 12th July. I was given an estimated delivery date of the 12th August, but told this would be confirmed closer to the time. On the 29th July this date (12th August) was communicated again. On the 5th August (Friday) it was confirmed again. On the 8th August (Monday – so, one working day later) I received word it was delayed, with a different date in late August named. This day wasn’t suitable for me so I rescheduled it to the 5th September, giving them an additional week or two. THE MORNING OF THE 5th I received a text that the delivery was not going to take place that day, but that it was scheduled for the 9th September instead. On the 7th September I called up the customer service to reconfirm delivery on the 9th, as for each of these nominated days I had had to reschedule my work diary to ensure I was home. Customer service confirmed that it had been loaded onto the van, and it would be delivered on Friday 9th. THE NEXT DAY – Thursday 8th – I received exactly the same message again saying that it was delayed again, without a rescheduled delivery date. At this point I wish I had never ordered through this company. I wish I could just cancel the order, get my money back, and order through a much more reliable company.

I would select zero stars if I was able to. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Had to replace our faulty bed, we were told we could have a replacement and they would collect the old one. They changed the delivery date several times, when they eventually delivered the replacement bed, only the base arrived and they said they had no idea where the mattress is. I called customer service, four phone calls later to four different advisors decided to transfer me without telling me but pretended they would place me on hold to read the notes. Clearly they didn’t want to deal with the complaint. Please do not use this company, not only was the product faulty but the service is horrendous.

Disgusted with this company, this was my first and very last time using this company. I have had up to 6 failed delivery attempts ( within 5 months) to deliver my order and no decent curtesy to call me and apologise and keep me informed. Poor communication between delivery team and customer service. Please do not ask me for what my order number is and ask for my contact details to look like you want to look into this further as I’ve spoken to customer service several times and all they could tell me was ‘ sorry’. I just want to inform future buyers to think before buying as they couldn’t give me a valuable reason why I kept having failed deliveries
