I must say that spending nearly £3,000 for a bed and mattress, i had great expectations however from day one i was disappointed. Even though the product was well packed, the mattress arrived with a blackline of dirt right across the middle of it because the plastic protection had obviously been dragged along the floor and torn. I can report however, that the mattress wasn't damaged just dirty. I now find that the bed itself which is an Ottoman TV Sleigh bed, is no longer usable without causing injury due to the failure of the support pistons and yes i can accept products do fail from time to time but customer services have been no help at all, referring my case to the manufacturer who has not been in touch at all to remedy the problem. Whether its a manufacturing fault or not Bensons for Beds sold the product so they have a legal contract with me and should be dealing with this on my behalf and not leaving me to chase manufacturers. Due to the time that has elapsed and the lack of movement, it has left me no option than to contact Trading Standards because the product is not fit for purpose and no one is taking the dangerous risk seriously. i can't use without having other people present to hold the storage base up so i can use the bed for what i purchased it for, access to a large storage area due to lack of space in my property.

I have been trying to get the correct mattress in my house since October 2022. The first mattress was nothing like the one I laid on in the store. It caused me to wake up in pain crying on 3 occasions as it was so hard. I received it in mid-November. Then they claimed that I needed to sleep on it for 40 nights before choosing a new one and I would have to pay a 10% re-selection fee and choose an equal or more expensive mattress to the one I chose originally. I was furious as I was already on a light timetable at work due to my back and hip problems and not being able to sleep due to pain and a bad mattress. In the first instance, Bensons for Beds could have sent me the correct mattress on the correct date and removed your own mattress which is not what I ordered from the store on Friday, December 9th as promised. I had to take the day off work and now I am in trouble with my employer for having to take more time off. I have lost many nights of sleep and now I am having to pay extra osteopath bills due to your company's operational nightmares. I will be speaking to the ombudsman about compensation for lost wages and health problems related to this bed stress and trauma. I have the first mattress sent from the company sitting in my downstairs corridor completely blocking the entrance and exit of our property. It is a fire hazard as they were not able to collect it on the arranged date on Friday, December 9th. The operations staff is shoddy and you should not be outsourcing your mattress delivery to DX as they are not specialised to deliver mattresses. DX staff had the wrong mattress, and most likely broke that mattress bringing it to my second-floor bedroom, they were ill and coughing all over my house. They also damaged our walls with the mattress. Then we saw it did not fit in my room so it was definitely the wrong mattress. I am incensed that this treatment is rewarding your company and I still need to pay over £1k in financing for a bed I have not received for many months. I cannot believe that this level of customer service is legally allowed, so I am telling everyone I know to avoid your company. I am detailing the horrors of ordering a mattress from Bensons for Beds as this has been my experience and I hope it is not yours. If you had good service, you were lucky.

After many, many problems getting our bed. From damaged bed AND mattress, that we're delivered late. Then the replacement being damaged as well. Then having multiple cancelled deliveries. Finally we had our bed but offered barely any compensation. Now, within a year our mattress is faulty and when telling customer service, they did absolutely nothing. Again disgusted with the lack of help, care, consideration or ethics, but not disappointed because I expected it.

I'm absolutely furious. The mattress my mother bought has been delivered to the wrong address on the wrong date - entirely their system error. We've been on the phone 4 times to customer service, each time having to wait in a queue for 30 minutes before being able to speak to someone. They have all assured us a) first of all that everything was fine and it wouldn't be delivered incorrectly despite the notification from the (useless, incompetent, rude) DX Delivery courier; b) second that they would resolve the situation ASAP and get the mattress picked up and redelivered. It has been a week and this has not yet happened, despite them knowing she is moving house in a few days and needs the mattress picked up and redelivered before then - or else she will be sleeping on the floor for the next month. We will never, ever buy from them again or from any company that uses DX.

I have purchased a kingsized Slumberland bed and headboard from the Scunthorpe branch which has just been delivered. I can't heap enough praise on the excellent manager ,the ordering process, the communications and the delivery men (so pleasant and efficient)

So I paid a 71.99 deposit for a single mattress. The value of goods with delivery was 359.99. This brought the loan amount to 288. When the finance form came through I hadnt paid any deposit and the purchase value was 389. I explained to the manager and arranged for a refund due to the incompetence of the assistant and felt if I hadnt noticed the error then I would have been ripped off by the company. After reading the other reviews I hope I receive the refund.

Placed an order for a bed 16 Oct 2022, waited 4 weeks for it to be made. Delivery van arrived as promised on 16 November but the bed frame was missing. They rearranged delivery for 22 Nov again van arrived on time but half the bed was missing. I was then told it would be delivered on 28 Nov. I spoke to the Cwmbran store who confirmed bed would not be delivered on 28th as they cannot find it in the warehouse. Therefore I have to wait for another bed to be made and as I have missed the last date for Christmas orders it will be 13 January before I know if I will have a bed or another failed delivery. This is appalling service.

Order a mattress at the Cambridge store. Few days after, the changed the delivered date from the 24th November to the 20th of December (meaning next year once they change it again due to Christmas overload). Went to the store and a member of the staff pointed me to the Customer Service, who on the other hand sent me back to the Cambridge store. Once I phone the store to cancel my order, they were impolite and let me know they were upset. Hopefully, I will never have to order with them ever again.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE/MISSING PARTS. Same story as most people below. Purchase and sales team great. Aftercare Shocking! They delivered the wrong part (someone elses bed part) and missed one of mine. no problem I thought. Wrong. Called and they said they would come back and swap out the wrong part. Turns out they didnt even load my full order into the Van! Been on hold multiple times for 1.5 hours to fix and still no answer. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. you will have no bed, messed up orders, or worse, a bed you can even get the whole parts for. Disgusting Customer service.

The back story is that I ordered wardrobe on 8th august 2022. This was delivered to us on 26.10.22 with the WRONG SIZE back boards. We were told to wait another 3 weeks maximum by head of customer services at the time (Kelly Chadwick) as due to YOUR mess up we would NOT have to wait another 6 weeks. I called benson for beds yesterday to chase up (again, this is not my responsibility and I am appalled that benson for beds had not contacted me) to be told the back boards had in fact arrived in the UK on Tuesday last week but nobody had communicated that OR enlighten me as the customer?! I was then told by pro build that the earliest they could provide us with delivery is 6th December 2022. After chasing up your services yesterday and being promised a call back by the new head of customer service (Stacey) which again is NOT my responsibility I did NOT receive a phone call. Absolutely appalling service and I am disgusted with the treatment we have had as a customer. You have already broken benson for beds legislation by going over 6 week period - it will now be 19 weeks by 6th December that we have waited. We will be taking this further and would have thought due to our wait time we would be fast tracked for quicker delivery.

Disgusted and disappointed. Poor customer service. The staff at the store friendly and helpful.. however customer services appalling. Never buy from them ever will never recommend them to anyone. Failed to deliver my items on time 3 months delay I was 8.5 months pregnant and couldn’t move into my home. All they could provide me with was £60 voucher considering I spent thousands with them on 2 beds mattresses, duvets and mattress protectors. Will never be giving them my time again

SHOCKINGLY POOR SERVICE - AVOID! Order was cancelled three times! Third time I contacted the store to make sure we were on schedule - after being reassured (I explained that the order was for a static caravan and many miles from home) we made the unscheduled and long journey to our out of season caravan site - after several hours and as the final hour approached with no contact, I contacted the store to be told not only would our mattress NOT be delivered, it had never been loaded onto the truck! The ease at which we were offered a refund would suggest this is a well rehearsed, familiar process - BTW we have not, at the time of writing this review, received said refund. Very stressful and very unnecessary- looking at other reviews I would ascertain that whilst the in store service there is clearly no guarantee or communication between supplier and seller!

Everything was going so well until delivery day, all messages say delivery between 7am and 1pm with a text with 2 hour window on the day. No text recieved so at 10am rang to check to be told the items are not being delivered today and dont know when they will be delivered. The only reason i found this out was becauase i called or they said i would not of been told. Avoid and order from elsewhere if you actually require products ordered

I had a mattress delivered on Wednesday 2nd November. The two lads were fantastic. Nothing was any trouble. I would recommend the service to anyone.

Sales staff and delivery were perfect, however customer services / after sales support is one of the worst. Faulty mattress and they dont want to know, no replies and stuck in a telephone queue which cuts you off at 30 minutes. Buy their products and just hope they dont go wrong

I urge anyone not to buy from this company. Damaged goods (Identified by their own delivery team), no contact from them whatsoever, no replacement and their support team make no effort whatsoever. Even though I was left with a faulty product, apparently the "Best" they can do was a 10% refund. Stay away.

Customer service is diabolical and they demand emails and then never reply to them. They sold us a complete set. Bed, mattress and headboard. Wishing a short period of time the headboard began to separate. They expect you to pay call out. Then the mattress has more soggy spots so they demand photos with a broom across it. It looks like a shell scrape dug out for Tsing cover during a war conflict. I am an ex vet and my back is smashed. Avoid avoid buying anything from them, they will do nothing to help at all. This is a real review not the fake ones on trust pilot. Spend your hard earned brass somewhere else. My misses is distraught as she has been dealing with it.

I have just recieved my delivery of a Bensons king size bed . The quality of the base is APPALLING , WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO BRITISH QUALITY !!! . The top of the base appears to be either card board or a poor quality hard board under the fabric covering which had broken up on delivery . I think you could poke a finger through the top of the base .

Awful customer service and unhelpful support provided from staff at the Croydon store. I’ve been waiting over 4 weeks for them to sort out their mess with not getting our headboard fitted, every time I speak to someone they seem to shrug off the importance of the matter and keep saying customer support will help me, who don’t bother to give me a call back. I’m then left chasing the store again and again and they offer no real assistance in getting the matter sorted promptly. We’re now three weeks in and still nothing sorted. I would have said it was just this store with the issue but the fact that customer services haven’t also helped me or got back to me in the last 3 weeks is a reflection on the company as a whole - highly unprofessional. Won’t be using them again and definitely do not recommend them.

AVOID - AVOID - AVOID Bought one of their more expensive beds and after 3 months the mattress is sagging down in the area you lay. They sent out someone to inspect it who clearly said there is a fault and he realised what we was concerned about. Bensons phoned us to say that the “engineer” had said that there was no faults found. This is clearly a lie and we wished we had recorded the conversation we had with the person. AVOID THIS COMPANY - BUY ELSEWHERE!!!
