“Great first box, delivery etc fab. Wanted to cancel as I do not drink beer and it was too much a month for my partner to drink. You spend ages on the phone trying to speak to someone. When you get through, it is like you are being interrogated. You are made to feel bad about cancelling. You are offered extra stuff for free or a discount. I stated I would like to cancel both beer and wine subscription. This was finally agreed. 2 months later then I was billed for another beer box. You cannot get hold of anyone for this. I was told I agreed to further boxes, which I know I did not. I asked for the transcript of the call, which was sent and was incorrect. They would not accept the beer as a return, even if declined at delivery. What a terrible useless company. Highly annoyed at this service!!! Avoid it and buy local!!!”

“Beer itself was good, but I paused my subscription for a couple of months, and they still charged and tried to ship me the beer. And had to wait 5 minutes on a call to them- what respectable company that isn't trying to scam you won't let you cancel online? Beer itself: 4/5, customer service: 0/5”

“I've had few boxes from Beer 52. Compared their prices of c. £28 for 8 beers, they are massively overpriced. My main issue is that they have made it very difficult to cancel in the same way you sign up. You can only cancel by way of a phone call, so you have to be free to speak, able to get through to them and sit through someone trying to persuade you to stay before you can leave. I have attempted to call the number they give to cancel multiple times a day for weeks, and all I get is a recorded message saying all of their agents are busy, no place in a queue, no going into a system. Just that message (which costs me money to hear) and then it hangs up. So I emailed, within 28 days, to cancel. Despite not yet having dispatched the next case, they still sent it and charged me for it. I do not want it and they will not accept a return, collect it, allow me to send it back or refund me for it. This is despite extensive correspondence on the matter with them. So a waste of time and money. Despite having told me you cancel anytime within 28 days, they are relying on some small print to say you have to cancel 3 days prior to dispatch (which was day 25) and that their goods cannot be returned under the Distance Selling Act. Clearly they just want people in the door, and then don't want them to cancel and are happy to have discontented customers with unwanted product. Given this, I certainly won't be using them again and I'm going to take it up to my card issuer.”

“£324 a year for 96 terrible cans of beer Be careful ordering from this company. i had a cheap voucher just before Christmas and thought why not give it a go. filled in the relevant stuff on line and my order was delivered. 8 tiny cans of poor tasting beer with sticky labels on. I thought oh well at least i wont be ordering again and it was cheap with the voucher, No less than a moth later they take £27 out of my account for another delivery of the same terrible stuff. I asked for my money back and was refused do then emailed customer service to be told i cant return something that i don't want and they are keeping my money. 2 lessons here read the small print when ordering and don't bother in the first place, 8 very small cans of disappointment. £27 a month for 8 cans thats £324 for 96 small badly tasting beers .”

“Spoken beer52 twice now to cancel my subscription and the keep taking my money and sending me bloody beers that I don't like. Will now have to speak to my bank to stop this and trading standards! They know what they are doing!!!!!”

“Absolute rubbish, joke, scam, fraud. Do not use these scam-sters. They don’t reply to emails and won’t refund you even if you send them back their rubbish over priced beers. Absolutely appalling. No stars for this shameless brand. Vistaprint should stop working with them asap…”

“AVOID! Awful company. Sneakily signed me up to subscription without me knowing after free box. As soon as I noticed and contacted them to cancel, refund and stop dispatch they refused and basically said its tough luck. I would certainly not recommend, very overpriced and jot very friendly or helpful customer service. AVOID!”

“AVOID AVOID AVOID ..Is this a scam company ? .. I activated a gift card and they got my card details then claimed that some details were wrong with my registration and refused to cancel the account .. my bank says I have to cancel my debit card to stop them continuing to take money and all along they keep claiming that they were in the right but refused to send me an email to confirm anything .... not helpful, rude and it behaves like a scam cash collector operation.. AVOID AVOID AVOID ..”

“DO NOT USE!!! Tried to cancel online. Had to call. Called, was told "I HAD TOO" listen to all the offers. Explained I wasn't interested. But was FORCED to listen to them. Said this wasnt legal or part of my consumer rights. Was told it was! Really?! SCAM company avoid.”
