scam company, maliciously difficult to cancel. Send them an email to support@beer52.com or support@wine52.com then call your card provider and issue a chargeback with a screenshot of your email. Do this right away.

If I could give zero I would, scam company. Was offered a low cost trial, but was not impressed as most of the beers either tasted like hoegaarden or general IPA. Plus it is bloody expensive (example £27 for 8 coke size beers, but nearly £3.50 each). However, felt rude just taking a trial crate so got another snd then tried to cancel. Imagine my shock, that I could buy as much as I wanted online, but if I wished to cancel I HAVE to call them. After around 10mins of waiting, then convincing them: YES I don't want you subscription of extremely expensive tiny beers, NO I don't want any of your (surprising!) sudden deep sell offers. I finally convinced them to cancel my subscription. This wasn't done and yet another box of tiny (expensive) beers arrived, for which we again were charged. I again HAD to call and was told, “sorry our bad“ “forgot to cancel“, however, “we can't give refunds and won't collect the beers you don't want". Requested to make formal complaint, but, no further contact was made to me. Total scam company, could not recommend staying clear high enough.....

It’s nice for when you want it but I called up to cancel, with the sole reason being I don’t want to spend on this anymore. The guy then tries to give sell to me, which I politely conversed about but at no point did I say yes I want this. All of a sudden a few days later money is out of my account no notification regarding of any such transaction ever being agreed though i did get one to say 'sorry your leaving' as they sneakily try steal money without any agreement for this purchase. This person on the phone just out to make commission clearly and not paying attention to a word I had said from the beginning. Now a month later they are refusing to refund me even when I have repeatedly said I want to send their product back. This has ruined my life experience with Beer52 and the way this has been handled is disgusting, they are not to be trusted.

I am writing to provide a detailed feedback regarding an extremely distressing experience with Beer52. It is with absolute certainty that I assert the company's operations to be fraudulent. Despite having cancelled my subscriptions a significant amount of time ago as they do not provide the subscription cancellation on their website, an unauthorised deduction of £27 was unlawfully withdrawn from my bank account early this morning. Immediately, I took swift action by emailing the company to request the cancellation of the subscription once again, fully aware that their telephone lines are operational between 9 am and 6 pm. Within a few hours of the unauthorised deduction, I made contact with the company to demand a refund. To my profound disappointment, the staff member named ANTHONY informed me that I had previously agreed to their terms and conditions, which unequivocally prohibit cancellations within 24 hours of payment and explicitly state that refunds will not be issued once the payment has been processed. Furthermore, I was informed that the company does not accept returns from customers unless the received items are demonstrably faulty. It is of paramount importance to highlight that the delivery of the wines I had ordered is still pending, with no dispatch having taken place thus far. However, despite this fact, the company conveyed to me that they are unable to communicate with the warehouse to halt the dispatch. Additionally, I no longer reside at the address provided for delivery. Astonishingly, I was further advised that it is entirely my responsibility to resolve this matter, with the company claiming sole responsibility to send the wine, even if I am unable to receive the delivery. These circumstances overwhelmingly indicate that the company's primary objective is the pursuit of financial gain, while disregarding their obligation to provide satisfactory customer service. It is abundantly clear that the company fails to provide a comprehensive return policy and has neglected to establish a well-defined cancellation policy. I find this situation both profoundly frustrating and an egregious waste of my valuable time. It appears that the company derives satisfaction from illicitly extracting £27 from unsuspecting customers, arrogantly perceiving such actions as a triumph.

Ok so trying the beers was nice but it was to be only a trial. Cancelled this morning I hope as the phone call was long drawn out with constant attempts to persuade me to change my mind. Please understand I want to cancel my subscription, its not so difficult.

Terrible experience. Signed up due to the nature and price of the deal on offer however the company then employed underhanded tactics into keeping me signed up whilst also automatically charging my card the following month leaving me in a financially precarious position. There is NO option to cancel your subscription online once you have made the first payment which is incredibly shady as you have to pay money in order to call the company directly by phone, wait on hold, before speaking to a customer representative in order to cancel. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP TO THIS COMPANY as my card was charged without my knowledge and once it had been charged beer52 did nothing to help me out. They claimed once my card had been charged the wine/beer was automatically sent out for delivery, which was strange because I had not received any message from the courier company that it was out for delivery. The delivery was only dispatched 2 days after this claim which shows they are also willing to tell mistruths in order to keep peoples money! At this point I offered to send the delivery back to them at my own cost which was met with a resounding NO. I also then asked if there could be some kind of discount offered as I had a bill to pay and the amount beer52 took from my card meant I could not pay my bill in full. Again this was met with a resounding NO. Basically my interactions with this company left a sour taste in my mouth and I believe people need to hear what happened to me before deciding whether to spend their hard earned cash on a company such as beer52. PS. The actual beer and wine isn't even all that great either. I would personally stay well away!

I tried to cancel via email as they have previously said they would take cancellations via email. Instead I had an extremely rude and aggressive female call me. Cancellation still doesn’t seem to have been actioned.

Moneysaving Expert - last week , highlighted the “one-off box for £20” -16 different beers for £20. Stating that £56 worth , for just -£20. Now…. I don’t drink, but you know I thought might be cool to have for gifts or visitors etc…. Anyway… ordered on Weds, last week , paid in full the £20, via card. Created account (no subs , one-off box) Received confirmation e mail , with details of “nymphs in warehouse”, an attempt at joviality, bordering on too vague and overly “chummy”, just not clear or professional for an order confirmation, I felt ? No further despatch detail or update by the weekend … and I read the considerable negative details about them Online, hence - I e mailed asking for order to be cancelled . Clear & simple…. Received a further somewhat bemusing further e mail reply, asking me to hold on a further 72 hours & if no update, THEN they will start an investigation…. Eh, What ??? Seriously…. What part of cancel order & refund, please - was complicated or should be ignored. I then called the Edinburgh number , option 1 - subscriptions, - zero help & somewhat rude… Option 2 - Customer Service (Call centre in Philippines) Obviously an Edinburgh based company is unaware that here in Scotland, we do actually have people capable of answering the phone 🧐 Option 2 - resolved the issue & cancelled & refunded Would never recommend & feel that Moneysaving expert /Money supermarket would be wiser not recommending or promoting…. STEER CLEAR 🤨

Got first case on what seemed like great introductory deal and hopef would be good gift subscription for husband. He didn’t like it, most were not ales he enjoys and he asked me to cancel. So far this has been impossible to do, the calls are not answered but every other means of communication tells you to call. I have been trying to cancel for 10 days and at this rate I will get charged again fir something I do not want. Started to check out the other reviews and starting to find what I have signed up to is actually a scam. Terrible customer service and nr impossible to get out of. People have had to change banks! Tried all methods of communication. Calls, email, message still subscribed and frustrated.

I think all the reviews you see on this company are quite made up, they are a complete waste of money and they are a nightmare to cancel, they take money out of your account with out permission and you will wate for ever for the box they send you, and when you open it ,you will pass-out, the small cans and one small bottle and 2 very small bags of snacks and this is £27 pounds a complete rip off.

As beers go, they were average; nothing stands out, clearly lower ends, or end of-line/sell-by-date beers. three stars for the beer alone, I would rather pay a little more at a local shop for something better quality. The 1 star is for the customer service, its bullying and hard sells on and on—cold calls, insults to others in the industry and highly inaccessible. I would not recommend it, even for the free beer offers, as you will find yourself needing twice as much getting through their nonsense.

Easy to subscribe to their service online. When it comes to cancelling, they get you to fill in several questions tempting you to stay and then when you finally get to the end, you have to call to cancel the subscription. I have been on hold for 15 minutes and still waiting on hold. Wish me luck.

They are a subscription base business. It's fair, you get a trail from some junkmail in a box with another company and are charged for further orders until you battle the phone system for someone to finally pick the phone up. I cancelled as the product didn't really suit my tastes, the target market is not me. I'm sure other may love it. With that, a polite cancellation and explanation I didn't want a special offer for a product I didn't love should have been it... It's frustrating for a company to insist on cancellation via phone and not accept email - it's just a ploy to give retention offers. It should be as easy to cancel as it is to sign up, that would be fair. I cancelled, and it was stopped. I received excessive marketing emails and a few sales calls. I unsubscribed to the emails and got more emails. I then got marketing calls with promotions, I asked to be removed from the marketing list. I sent a formal Right to Erasure request, following the ICO guidelines in line with their GPDR obligations. I get more emails, plus physical mail. It's very frustrating, leave me in peace!

Extremely difficult to cancel subscription. Appalling, bullying customer service (and the beers are mostly IPA's) Impossible to cancel online (check their website to see), nor by email, they don't reply. Cancelation is only by phoning, requiring a long time on hold listening to their advertising. When they answer they do a hard sell, and everything to avoid cancelling membership. Under no circumstances trust the major UK newspaper advertising to subscribers which states "There’s no minimum commitment – you can just take the free case, try the beers and see what you think. If it’s not for you, you can pause or cancel anytime". This is untrue, it is incredibly difficult to cancel with them. They will bully you. When I eventually got to speak to someone there and said I had no time to talk about the beers because I was busy and just wanted to cancel, he lost his temper and hung up. I found email addresses for 7 of their managers / founders on their website. I emailed them all asking for an explanation as I wanted to be reasonable. I didn't get one single reply. I'm writing this to save others from this horrible experience. At all costs, do not succumb to them, you will regret it.

DO NOT USE. SCAM This company is built on making it impossible to cancel and failing to make it clear that theyll take random £30+’s after you make an £8 order. It’s quite clear they take advantage of customers.

Garbage! Was given a gift voucher as part of a present. After emailing and tweeting I have now managed to get my beers ordered. Took three days. God knows when I'll get them. Even though it's a gift I've had to upload bank details and subscribe. I will 100% cancel after the 24 hours they advise.

This is not a very professional company. I paid for the first box and back on 10 October and it has not arrived. every time I contact the company to enquire about the missing box, they tell me to wait another week. After a week goes by, they send me a new box, but the new box NEVER arrives either. They have shipped the box to me 3 times now. And each time the box is "lost in transit" But they had no problem taking my money, but they have not sent me the box. I can only share my personal experience. The people on the phone seem nice, but that still does not give me the wine that I have paid for. Ive been waiting since 10th October for the wine. I have all the proof via email of the customer service interactions and the tracking links to yodel and Evri, that lead to nothing. Today is 16 of November and still no wine. What a shame, how a company can run like this, in my personal opinion I don't see this company lasting. Please do not tell me to email you at your support email, I have already done that countless times, and you still don't send me the wine I HAVE PAID FOR. I will be posting this review to Instagram, twitter, and other social media.
