“Visited the store during our stay in Worthing two weeks ago looking for a bed and mattress. We found what we liked on sale , however the price on the bed was much less than the price given to us by the salesperson. His reason was that it was a mistake however he accepted our argument that the selling price should be what is written on the product. He agreed to sell us accordingly.
They charge £45 for delivery but because our address is far away from the store they gave us a quote 3 times higher than any bodyelse. We decided to arrange our own delivery.
They advised us that the bed will be ready in 3-4 weeks but they rang after a week and left a message on the answering machine, saying the bed is ready for collection in the store. They left a phone number to ring the store to arrange delivery. Here is where our nightmare started as they do not answer the calls at all despite our repeated calls during different times of the day.
We live far away from the store and it is very difficult to visit the store again. We feel we got stuck. We sent an email to the customer service but as expected there was no response.
Our advise to people stay away from the furniture department of Beals store in Worthing”
