“Quality product, good service but I had a problem. I ordered to have it delivered on 27th Jan - my Mother's birthday. I got a message from delivery company DHL saying it was going to be delivered. I then pressed the button to say that they could leave it by the front door as I heard my mother was going to be out for a lunch. DHL then changed the delivery to 30th because of a change of instruction. Disaster. No way back. Not your fault but it occurs to me that you could anticipate this by asking when I ordered if it had to be signed for and if it could be left in a safe place. Not blaming you but DHL's system, which I understand, yet I think you can overcome it.”

Hi Paul, thank you for the feedback. We do try to explain at checkout that specific delivery days are achieved on a best endeavour basis, but can be a day or 2 either side. Delivery was attempted on the Thursday (1 day before your preferred date) but then successfully reattempted on the Friday (your preferred date). “Very satisfied with my purchase. The item selection was excellent and really good quality. Arrived by DHL exactly when promised. Goods were packed in a very nice box which is ideal to keep as a storage box. I placed my order in the USA for UK delivery and it was handled very smoothly with updates on how it progressed. Excellent service and highly recommended.”

Hi Anne, thank you for the feedback. We're so pleased the hamper was well received. We're sorry you were disappointed with the delivery. We do try to explain at checkout that in the month of December we work in delivery weeks, rather than specific dates. So the date you select at checkout is the latest date the gift will arrive. We react to information supplied to us by the delivery couriers at their busiest time of year. We trust this goes some way as to explaining why it was a little bit earlier than expected. All items inside also have a post Christmas best before date, so as everything can be enjoyed over the holiday period. Many thanks, The BG Team.

“Basket itself was amazing but very disappointed with delivery !! It was advertised that it would be delivered in time for Christmas and stated that it would be delivered on the 23rd December, perfect for Christmas surprise, but the hamper didn't arrive until the 29th !! Very disappointed.”
