“We thoroghly enjoyed our time at the Baron at Bucknell. The room and food were both excellent and the staff very friendly. The Baron at Bucknell is ideally located with easy access to Wales, Shropshire and Herefordshire and we went to all three places during our stay. We were very impressed by the accomodation and will be returning to sample more of the wonderful and varied countryside in this underrated area.”
“We stayed for three nights ,everything was very good indeed. The bedrooms are lovely,extremely comfortable beds and bedding. Breakfast was freshly cooked,with nothing served 'in packets'. Dinner was excellent,cooked to order and well presented. Could not be better.”

“what a lovely surprise Shropshire has been and what a gem we found staying at The Baron at Bucknell for 2 nights, Phil & his Mother were there to meet us and show us to our very comfortable room that had a big comfy bed,exquisite bathroom and from the window a glorious view. We enjoyed dinning and meeting lovely people in the evening. The food was most enjoyable and cooked to a high standard the wine wasn't bad niether ! all in all we could not fault anything. thank you so much we shall be back but in the meantime we shall spread the word.”
“Two night stay across the weekend of 26th and 27th April. The hotel is in a lovely peaceful location and the welcome upon arrival was warm. Beautifully appointed bedroom, superb breakfast with excellent choice and made with good quality produce. Good walk book available from the hotel door. Good evening meal and all in, for a good price. “Last summer found the Baron and had a great lunch, this week for our anniversary break we returned to the Welsh borders and spent two nights at the Baron at Bucknell. Absolutely wonderful place, friendly, professional staff, high quality room, even down to the chocolate bars. Breakfast was a delight, as were the meals we took each evening. If I was being picky.... I couldn't, Go and stay, eat, you will NOT be disappointed.”

“When you book a night away - for whatever reason - you want to know when you get there that everything's going to be OK. At the Baron at Bucknell it was. Our room (5) was very comfortable and clean (it was obviously only done out quite recently); we ate there and the food was good; so was the breakfast; and the staff are friendly without trying too hard. View from the conservatory (where breakfast and meal were served) isn't too shabby either. So we could just relax. Which is worth 5 stars.”
