“Keep away from this bank unless you have hours to wait in a to be served this used to be a good bank i have been with them for years but it is know the worst bank to deal with i have know decided to go to another bank”
“Bad experience doesn’t go anywhere near the appalling telephone customer service received today, after over an hour on the phone the call was lost and no call back from Barclays. No help whatsoever and ended up having to drive an ill 96 year old gentleman and walk him to try and find a branch to transfer money from one account to another - shame on you Barclays!!! Not everyone does internet banking!!”
“Keep yourself far away from this bank. Absolutely terrible customs service and data protection. They have provided my confidential adres to my ex abusive and violent partner ( bank was fully informed about the circumstances, they had note in the system). Child under age involved.”
“Not everyone wants to do online banking.i have tried over two days to speak to someone at Barclays Bank which has had me in a queue for over an hour on each occasion.cshort of travelling five miles to my nearest branch I cannot get someone to pick the phone up.i then rang the number to make a complaint and was put in another queue. Not good enough service!.S Wilkinson.Bradford.”
“Went to the Harrow branch on 10th March 2024. We went upstairs to see Asu, she was very professional. I would like to commend her for giving us such a wonderful service.”
“I used the new branch in south shield today, I payed in £100 into the machine as there was no customer desk open, the machine only counted £80, so I asked for help, the snotty nose assistant came over I explained everything what I did , showed her proof what money I had left, with receipts,
To find the way she spoke and looked down on me was like I was robbing her,
They took my details and says they would call after they checked there machine, bang I got £20 sent into my bank which went missing ,
Still waiting on a call and apologies of her,
Never again, been with them 20 year never had somone look down at me ever”
“Today I was helped by a lovely friendly member of your team 'Marilyn' she was so patient with me when I was struggling to complete and application for a Travel Pack. I took up quite a lot of her time but she didn't rush me and put me at ease. Thank you Marilym”
“It's an absolute nightmare trying to set up online banking if you don't have valid id IE. Passport etc. All the nearby branches have shut so sorry Barclays you have to keep sending me paper copies... for ever.”
“totally shocking service transfer money to a brother doesnt get to him nor do i receive it back that was 2 year ago. and recently withdrew 80 pound from atm and not got it nor as it been returned, contacted them 3 times now and still having to wait 5 more days. my last 80 pound 2 weeks ago. not a good bank to be with at all, cant wait to change.”
“Barclays take off that only 10 pounds overdraft limit from me ,that because barclays bosses are pedophiles and plus make love with animals in local parks! you all going to hell with your money and dirty family of yours ! Because you only support the people with lot of money don't worry they going hell too dirty pedophiles!”
“Always left frustrated talking to Barclays Customer service.
They always leave you with the impression that they don't know the answers but won't admit it, just try pushing you to make calls elsewhere.
I suspect training is just not there!
In the latest call, claiming that being unable to log on via a different PC is a safety feature but unable to explain why it is ok on Chrome but errors out on Edge. And claims that security messages are being sent on the app, but somehow not being received by the user is ok but means that they can't do anything "because you wouldn't one any random caller accessing your account details"
Incompetence hiding behind excuses with no accountability for resolution.
Very poor”
“My ex walked out on me, taking my daughter, in October 2020.
For over 3 years I have tried to have my name removed from the joint account, including visiting their branch in Shenfield, Essex, in 2021. Divorce confirmed in October 2022.
As a result of constant texts about the overdraft on this account, which I have not accessed since June 2020, I raised a complaint. They claimed to have investigated it, sent an outcome letter to an address I neither provided to them nor live at, and claimed to have no record of me requesting to be removed from the account. They also claimed to have tried to send a letter by email but did not have my correct email address. A week or so later, they sent me an email, to the correct address, asking for feedback on how they dealt with my complaint. Honestly, you couldn't make up such nonsense.
What they did say was they wouldn't contact me anymore in respect of this account. Today I received an email telling me about charges on this account.
Oh yes, what I forgot to mention earlier was that when I complained I told them how receiving messages about an account that is owned by someone who negatively impacted my mental wellbeing by taking my children from me only aggravates my mental health, mot to mentionthere is a GDPR breach.
Just goes to show how Barclays couldn't care less about mental health.”
“BEWARE - and AVOID!
Barclays Bank plc, are ruthless liars, fraudsters and thieves.
Regardless of what these thieving criminals falsely claim in their adverts, they hold absolutely no regards, whatsoever, for their customers.
Incontrovertible evidence verifying the above; Case ref: F9PP0510 (Barclays bank plc vs Clarke)”
