“I found Baltic Travel quite by accident on the internet, and what a lucky find it’s turned out to be ! I wanted to visit Norway and see the Northern Lights but beyond that had little idea of what I wanted to do, or where I wanted to stay. Step forward, Baltic travel rep. Nikola Stenka 🙇 Before I booked, Nikola listened patiently, offered me great advice and came up with an exciting itinerary. Stating the obvious, Norway in winter is cold, and January 2024 was especially cold. Travel plans were disrupted - The Polar Express which we’d booked didn’t run - but behind the scenes Nikola and Baltic Travel were making alternative arrangements for us. It was great to know people back in London were looking out for us. What I especially appreciated were Nicola’s emails checking if we were ok and, then once we’d got back, sharing with her our adventures. Nicola’s an excellent rep for Baltic Travel and I will definitely be booking with her, and them again.”

“Our holiday highlights included driving a snow mobile across a vast frozen lake, and in and out of the forest, to a reindeer farm, and spending a night in a lakeside glass igloo. We had never experienced a snowy holiday or been to that part of the world before, and we were not disappointed - we had a great holiday!”

“Trip booked: Polar Express Train Journey Brilliant service frima Daina from start to finish for our trip. We only had a limited time away, recommendations for which trip suited best before we booked. Settled on the Polar journey as had a good balance of excursions, 2 countries and plenty of free time to hunt the northern lights. Booking was very smooth, excellent communication throughout. All booking confirmations/tickets sent before departure. Unfortunately our train journey was split with a replacement bus 1/2 way ( track damage due to -40°c weather) Daina kept us upto date will all changes and made sure all new tickets were sent. Accomodation included was excellent, both with on site restaurants. The Dog sled excursion was brilliant. Thank you, 100% recommend”

“Recently returned from Finalnd where we opted for the Lapland for Lovers holiday. Although only three nights, it felt like a much longer break. The organisation of all the trips was brilliant and the location stunning. Apparently there were 200 people staying at the Wilderness Lodge but it never felt like that at all. With so many activities comprising of small groups, it only ever felt intimate and small scale. Highlights were definitely the Aurora Borealis (we saw them every night), the wild reindeer out on the lake, the wild husky ride (before and after my driver fell off) and the colours of nature. The sun stayed just below the horizon but the colour of the sky was phenomenal. The cold was extreme (-35 wind chill when we were there) so be prepared for that but the kit/clothing included in the stay were great. Overall, the staff at the Lodge were superb, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We would go again in a heartbeat. Finland is beautiful at this time year. A big shout out also to the Travel Operator who had to cope with my constantly changing dates and requirements. Thank you for your patience!”

“This was the first time using Baltic Travel Co and I am so pleased with the service they provided. Inga booked the whole experience from start to finish. We were very pleased with the final booking. Nothing was too much trouble when we needed to shuffle things about, the expertise was excellent. We had five days in total which were filled with activities. Although we had delays both ends and problems getting home due to weather. Inga was fully on hand to help and assist us. She made sure we had the fullabout, the expertise was excellent. we naa rive days in total which were Tea with activities. Although we had delays both ends and problems getting home due to weather, Inga was fully on hand to help and assist us. She made sure we had the full information needed to navigate the issues. I would certainly recommend the team at Baltic travel, Inga especially has been excellent throughout our whole holiday experience.”

“We had the most magical holiday in Iceland thanks to Baltic Travel. We flew into a thickly covered snowy Iceland, which much to the locals' surprise, stayed for the whole duration of our holiday and it snowed on top of the thick covering that was already there! Not a drop of rain in sight! It was so beautiful and Christmassy. We were incredibly lucky! We wanted to thank Baltic Travel for all of their seamless organisation, which worked very well. Our Reykjavik Excursions tour guides for the day, were all charming and professional, with a mountain of knowledge to share with us all. The Northern Lights trip was cancelled due to cloud cover on the night we were meant to go but easily re-booked for the following night. The Blue Lagoon being closed, actually worked out really well for us, as it gave us some magical downtime, to walk through the highlights of Reykjavik and enjoy it in daylight hours. We would not have been able to see the harbour view from our hotel and all the beautiful highlights of the city, had we been on the Blue Lagoon trip. Having said that, I am sure that the Blue Lagoon would have had stunning scenery as well. Laura at Baltic Travel was exceptionally quick and thorough in letting us know of the Blue Lagoon closure and offered us a fabulous alternative, which she swiftly and efficiently booked for us and instantly sent us the voucher paperwork via email. Hvammsvik Hot Springs (the alternative) was booked for the evening and was great fun and by the photo's that we saw of it, had equally stunning scenery but of course, we couldn't see it. It gets dark in Iceland around 3.30 ish in the afternoon in late December! But on such a short break and at that time of year, you can't have everything! What we did have and see though, was beautiful and magical. I would even suggest that maybe Baltic Travel offer the free day exploring and evening Hvammsvik excursion as an alternative option to the Blue Lagoon. I think a lot of people would enjoy being able to explore Reykjavik in daylight to see the gaily coloured original houses, beautiful harbour, the gorgeous old part of Reykjavik, fabulous churches and churchyards, picturesque frozen over city lake, enormous array of wonderful restaurants with fabulous quality food and of course the abundance of twinkling Christmas lights, absolutely everywhere! The Icelandic people certainly know how to do Christmas! We have seen glaciers, hot springs, geysers, waterfalls, black beaches.....the list is endless. We thank you once again Laura and Baltic Travel for a once in a lifetime holiday that we will never forget.”

“We asked the Baltic Travel Company to put together a holiday in Finland and Estonia based on a few key elements and dates; they made many additional suggestions and recommendations, from modes of transport to destinations and hotels, all of which we gladly adopted. The arrangements they made were impeccable; there was no problem or hitch at any point in our long and complicated itinerary. The paperwork was immaculate and comprehensive, giving us everything we needed to catch the right planes, ferries, waterbuses, trams, buses, and trains. The few minor queries that came up whilst we were away were answered swiftly and authoritatively. We had a wonderful holiday, free of cares, secure in the knowledge that we were in the hands of experts.”

“My daughter and I had a fantastic trip to Iceland. Reykjavík is a lovely city to visit with so much to do and see. We did 2 trips- Golden Circle and South Iceland. Both of these had extremely informative guides and were very slickly operated. Daina and her team organised everything for us superbly, as well as making last minute alterations to our itinerary due to the volcanic eruption. We didn't manage to go to the Blue Lagoon due to its closure but instead spent a morning at the Sky Lagoon- what a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend visiting Iceland and using Baltic Travel to organise your visit. Thank you everyone for a great holiday.”

“My experience with Baltic Travel Company and liaising with Daina during the booking of our trip to Iceland (a surprise birthday present for my partner), throughout our stay and on our journey home. Daina was so helpful with booking our transfer flights, and assisting with modifying our itinerary so it suited us perfectly. We had an extra day in Reykjavik as a result of airport strikes and Daina was able to assist and support us whilst we were there, as well as helping with receiving our invoice from the hotel so we could claim this back from BA. The holiday itself was so memorable and Iceland is a beautiful country to visit. The landscape is breathtaking and unlike anywhere else I've been to, all of the tours that we had pre-planned were so well orchestrated and hassle-free meaning that we were able to enjoy the sights of the Golden Circle, the South Coast and the Northern Lights (once we eventually had good enough weather to see them!). The city of Reykjavik was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the city itself was amazing to walk through. We also had a trip to the Sky Lagoon which was a brilliant place to relax between our excursions. Overall, myself and my partner had the most wonderful time and made some amazing memories. We are both NHS workers so trying to get annual leave for both of us is nearby impossible so making this time worthwhile has been a blessing. “Our trip to Finland arranged by the Baltic Travel Company was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish - I am so grateful to have found them online. Inga Navickiene was so prompt and efficient to respond to our enquiries and she also made great suggestions for hotels, activities, etc - Inga made the whole experience so easy and seamless. We will definitely use Baltic Travel again if we are traveling to a country that they service as it truly was a 5 star experience. Their customer service is second to none and it was great value for money as well and we have made memories to last a lifetime!”

“Diana, Just thought I'd drop you a line to say a big thank you for organising our trip to Svalbard. Basecamp was a perfect hotel, everything was great for us and thanks for the "Trapper Treat" and wine which went down brilliantly. Jeanette enjoyed her 60th celebrations. We had a fantastic meal at Gruvlageret on our first night after your feedback. Our booked excursions were excellent, dog sledging and I'm pleased we didn't know the details of the Ice Cave before we went, if we had, at least two of our party wouldn't have gone. Pushed a few limits and all survived to tell the tale! The Radisson Blu in Oslo was so convenient for the airport and train. Thanks for organising a brilliant trip for us.”

“We've just had a great trip to Norway and can't thank the Baltic Travel Company enough. The itinerary was really well coordinated and each component was an adventure in itself. The communication was great before during and after the trip. Beforehand the travel pack came with all the instructions for the travel logistics and tours - all spot on. While we were away, one excursion was cancelled due to bad weather but Inga got the message to me via the hotel (I didn't have my e-mail available) so there was no confusion. Also very prompt to refund for this cancellation on our return. This was a trip I don't think I could have booked myself given the complicated timetables so without BTC it wouldn't have happened. Thanks to the team - BTW the Northern Lights were spectacular!!”

“I had such a lovely time in Norway and I'm genuinely glad I chose Baltic to help me with my travel plans! I normally self-plan holidays but because it was my first time in a Nordic country, I decided to call in the "experts". All of my experiences scheduled with Baltic, from flight to accommodation to activity, went off without a hitch. The local guides for my "excursions" were a delight and even ran a tour when I was the only participant. I am the type of person who will scrutinize reviews to determine if I'm making the right choice - Baltic made this holiday a breeze and I would 100% book them again. I hope to come back to Norway again and spend a bit more time - 5 days was not enough :)”
