“I am a recovering cardiac surgery and LVAD outpatient with Wythenshawe hospital and as part of my cardiovascular exercise regime I cycle as much as my failing form permits and the weather of course! I’m a member of the @electriccranks cycling group, it’s made up of similar heart condition patients and AVARIS ebikes gifted us one of their marvellous hybrid road bikes. In an attempt to raise funds for New Start Charity Wythenshawe Hospital we have recently completed a fully supported ride of the C2C Route 72 between Bowness on Solway to South Shields over three days 28th-30th June 2022 inclusive. For the record, I had not one single issue with the ebike across the entire 104 miles it is a very reliable ebike, lightweight, so very portable, easily carried unlike some ebikes and remarkably responsive out on the open road. The ebike provides wonderful assistance levels from 1-9 on the toughest of climbs and even below the river Tyne through that very nippy tunnel. I managed to ascend at least one 14% hill through the toughest sections of the Pennines in my condition so a fully able person would be laughing. The Kenda tyres coped admirably with a variety surfaces along the trail without a single puncture from tarmac to loose gravel, overgrown grass and sand. I must also add that it has very quiet brakes even when wet something that can’t be said for a number of mountain ebikes. I’m so pleased with this ebike I don’t want to part with it but appreciate that there are many other outpatients in recovery who would benefit from days out in its very comfortable saddle. In my opinion any determined road cyclist looking to purchase an ebike should consider this AVARIS hybrid road ebike first. It’s currently an absolute bargain at £1299…🤔 I can’t thank you all enough at AVARIS ebikes Cheers 😊👍”

“Purchased the avaris odyssey approx two months ago. I am 61 and reasonably healthy but have minor lung and leg/blood issues that have put me off cycling. I opted for the mountain bike version and have been delighted with it. This is my first purchase of an e bike and I am a casual rider. The gearing via thumb paddles is slick and easy. The digital readout is simple and clear. On straight roads I use no assistance. On inclines I only need level one or two if the legs are getting tired. Pulling away after a stop is great, the assistance quickly kicks in if you need a quick pull away due to traffic. On level five cycling is easy, thus I can travel distances far in excess of my normal without the worry of getting home. The battery has never dipped below 80 per cent so am very pleased with potential for next springs rides. Haven't used the bike for serious mountain biking as there aren't many hills in Essex. I had a little trouble locating the power assist buttons on first ride as I hadn't realised there were extra buttons outside the darker shaded ones. I had two dealings with the parent company and give them ten out of ten for response and speed of response. Cannot fault them. Great praise from someone who is sceptical of on line purchases. “Had this bike for a month now done over 300 miles. I live in Cornwall and if you know Cornwall you will know how hilly it is. I thought my biking days were over until I bought the avaris mtb I feel like I am living in Norfolk now. Hills no problem it is a joy to ride I can actually sing going up big hills it’s great I highly recommend.”

“The Avaris Odysey is my second eMTB and a big step up from my first which is now my spare. The delivery arrangements were unclear but luckily the bike was taken in by my neighbour! All of the features are exactly as advertised with the added bonus of quick release wheels which had not been mentioned and are usually only specified on much more expensive models. The battery range is every bit as massive as claimed, which is another huge benefit. Initially I had problems selecting several of the gears, but after a few online chats with the legend who is Chris in technical support I was guided in how to index the gears and now they are super rapid and smooth as butter. Even though it is a big bike the balance is perfect, handling responsive and ride comfort amazing. In conclusion, the Avaris Odysey is a fantastic machine and outstanding value.”

“Customer after sale service is a disgrace.they can't fix there own bikes and try to work there way out of their mistakes.was told by Chris and Richard bike was out of stock now.i checked web site and there were 11 in stock.what sort of business treats customers like this?stay well clear”

Hello Elizabeth, When you received your bike, it looked like a spoke had come loose on delivery. We sent you instructions and a video on how to fix this. You said you won't do any work to fix the bike yourself, so we paid to have the bike returned, fixed the issue by replacing the back wheel with a new wheel and sent the bike back to you in complete working order. You then said you wanted another bike sending instead in a size we are out of stock off and you were going to trading standards if we didn't reply within an hour, with a solution. We said we can't send a bike we don't have in stock at this time, so we will refund your order and let you keep what was a fully functioning bike. I'm not sure what more we could do for you in this situation? Many Thanks The Avaris Team

“I am new to riding, I was after an electric bike which is affordable and comfortable to ride. For the price charged the bike offers more in terms of options, comfort and the look is amazing. Will definitely recommend. Saying this the delivery of the bike was severely delayed. It was very difficult to get hold of a representative at Avris which was stressful and I will ask them to improve their aftersales service.”

Hi Ali, Thanks for your poitive comments on the bike. In regards to the delivery. We have looked into this for you. You enquired about this delivery at 19:20 on the 28th June, and you got a reply back on the 29th June with tracking info. No other method of contact was made to us from our records. Although we can see on the tracking that the carrier had x2 failed delivery attempts on the 27th and 28th June, when nobody was available to take the delivery. The item was eventually delivered on the 6th July, after we contacted the carrier to make another attempt to deliver. Many Thanks, The Avaris Team

“Bought to quickly access the seaside and back to our new home because it’s a very steep hill (just over a mile away). And it’s the FIRST TIME I have been quicker going uphill rather than downhill! (That’s because the path has a few bumps and pits, so I needed to brake descending to the beach.) I love this bike, my first with assisted power. The terrain here is very hilly so this bike matches my needs perfectly. I ‘downsized’ choosing a medium frame expecting to have a generous seat pin height, but the frame design’s different from conventional non-E road bikes. No matter, because it can be configured for maximum comfort rather than ‘Tour de France’ settings which, tbh, suits me fine. But I will be fitting a handlebar stem extension because, with wearing transition glasses, too-low a posture can cause me neck ache. So, it’s more sit up and beg than anticipated… but, with this superb e-bike, requiring minimal effort for even the steepest terrain, that doesn’t matter one bit. I love this bike!”

“I'd been thinking about getting an e bike for some time. After reading the reviews on the Avaris 3.6, decided to buy one. Wow... I was not disappointed. Easy to assemble, out riding within the hour. Although I had to have the gears tweaked as chain was rattling on riding it was a minor issue. I can honestly say the smile hasn't left my face. Completing my first 100 miles in just a few days, the bike is a joy to ride. If you're thinking about getting an e bike at a great price... Look no further. 🚲🚲👍”

“First delivery was very quick although it was the wrong bike and theres very little flexibility from courier re time of collection/delivery. So a bit of a pain. Now I have the right bike it’s good value for money I think although the front derailleur is well out and the instruction manual is next to useless re the operation of the display. Rides well though and after a fight with the derailleur and trial and error with the display (I haven’t worked out how to reset the trip) it now does what I wanted it for.”
