Disappointed that you are no longer able to offer ear suctioning at Amersham, unless you wear hearing aids, which I don't. Seems like a strange business decision, probably based on profit. Unfortunately for working people driving an hour away to Saunderton or Thame is not an option. You have let me down, and I will suggest my family who are also clients don't bother to use your services again. Luckily I've found somewhere else locally who can offer an appointment this week.

We are so sorry to have disappointed you by not being able to offer you a convenient appointment in Amersham at the moment for wax removal. I must however let you know the reason, when we are required to prioritise appointments we will always prioritise hearing aid wearers because of the quality of life and impact blocked ears has on a hearing aid wearer. When a hearing aid wearer has wax they cannot wear their hearing aids, and their ability to hear and communicate is so significantly impacted we have to prioritise these appointments. We are sorry the only appointments we could offer were in our other branches and we are working hard to open up more appointments in Amersham but in the short term, whilst we have limited availability it is essential that we prioritise hearing aid wearers. It is not a profit driven decision. We, despite having huge demand try to keep our Clinical Ear Care prices as affordable as possible, running an offer of £65 per appointment for the past few months. We are pleased though you have been able to find a more convenient appointment locally. Thank you for taking the time to raise this concern- we value the opportunity to explain our situation in more detail. We also appreciate that perhaps this could have been explained better when you made your enquiry and we will endeavour to make improvements and continue to work hard to address the shortfall of wax appointments in Amersham to be able to return to a position where we can offer a full service to all who require it in all of our branches. Paula is very understanding of people like me who are not brilliant at technology, I had to change first aid as just didn’t suite me, but it was no problem. Now testing new one so we shall see but so far so good.

Duncan checked my hearing a few years ago - I didn't want to be the last person to know I had a hearing problem. On my latest check my hearing had got slightly worse, so I have taken the plunge and now wear Oticon hearing aids. I am amazed by extra things I hear. Duncan has been very good on explaining and carrying out the tuning process. Everyone at Aston is very friendly. Delighted!

Service is good and any questions you feel you have are answered with no problems. I’m still sorting my hearing aid out, but when arrives hopefully all is good. Although I’m sure it will be. So for now using the old one till new one arrives.

Excellent friendly and professional service at the Amersham location. Hollie sorted my ears out very quickly and took time to explain the procedure. She and her colleague also gave me advice and valuable reassurance regarding potential ongoing issues. I would definitely recommend.

Aston Hearing and especially the staff at Thame branch are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and I always feel welcome when I telephone or pop in. My hearing is a huge concern to me but I always leave the shop satisfied.

Paula and her colleagues do a truly marvellous job in keeping our hearing systems operating to the respective maximum possible performance for each of us. Long may that continue!! As somebody who has spent a significant proportion of his career working on really high / broadcast quality sound, it is fantastic to be able to discuss hearing quality issues with such a professional audiologist as Paula. You opened a whole new octave of hearing! I can hear the birds singing and my music has never sounded so good in recent memory. Of course I can also hear my wife and and even friends in a noisy pub:-) Duncan provided excellent service for both my wife's parents over a decade ago . Holly is joy and thoroughly professional in testing, tuning and discussing my new hearing aids.

I have now had three meetings with Paula, at the first of which we discussed needs, and then at the second she provided aids to try. I have now seen her for the third time, and once again, the meeting was again extremely pleasantly conducted; all questions asked or clarifications requested were freely supplied, and the whole ambience was one of friendly discussion rather than one of instruction. I would not hesitate to recommend someone in need to request her services.
