In terms of shopping, it was great; lots of choice, unusual items, good bargains and fun choosing what to buy. On the other hand, when delivered box appeared to have been squashed en route. The first box inside gave way when I tried to pick it up so everything fell out, a few items were ripped/open, heavy things were packed on top of lighter things, and 50% of the stuff in my 'mystery box' had been turned to crumbs. I was so excited about ordering as it was my first time but I've been left bitterly disappointed about what I received.

I Paid £8.50 delivery charge for my order which was said to have been despatched by you in 2 boxes. One very small box was received on Wednesday 6th September. After reporting this matter to you I was advised that the larger of two boxes had been damaged. I listed the missing products yesterday (by far the biggest part of my order) but nothing more has been heard. Help! I was hoping for completion of this order by the weekend, it this now seems very unlikely.

I have to admit I was disappointed. But you get what you pay for. I didn't know I would be buying foods that expired 2 years ago, but I suppose that makes sense at these prices. I don't know what I expected really, but I won't be repeating the experience. I feel I wasted my money on inferior products and misleading advertising - but I appreciate that other people may not mind, in order to score a "bargain."

£8.50 for postage was terrible a jar of salsa the seal was broke and the other jar salsa was like pickle. also the site lost my shopping list twice, so took ages to do will never use again

i have used approved food for a few years and never had a problem,, unfortunately this recent order was delivered to another road from where i live and it was only because of the lady who lives there honesty that i got the parcel ..i only that i hope this is a one off error as i love the site and have saved a fortune offer the last 2 years

Hi, I am always pleased with approved foods orders, the only thing that let my last order down was that I was unable to activate my offer at the end which I always look forward to. I had looked at what I had and made sure I qualified for the offer but no a message came up that I had to contact customer services, still didn't get a special offer that really did make me feel crap

Only received half of my delivery and the half of my delivery I did receive had been packed so that any liquids where upside down and had leaked all over my products

My first order arrived today. Unfortunately as I wasn't home, the parcel had been left outside in very heavy rain with no attempt made to cover it, so the cardboard box was absolutely soaked through by the time I got in. The bottom nearly fell out when I tried to lift it. When I opened the box up, two items were damaged, and one item was missing entirely. I have complained.

Took long time for delivery and I was about to call customer service. When I received this review email, I was still waiting for the parcel.?Placed order on Monday lunchtime, received items on following Monday lunchtime. As company stated items will be picked within 3 working days, Then delivery would take 2-3 working days. So my order was just made for within the time given yet without tracking, just as inconvenient to wait for the parcels every day for 4days. I felt rather misleading about delivery time.

It would be helpful if together with the purchase invoice, you provide a tear-off return slip, in case the goods purchased need returning. Please look into your returns policy and improve on that.

My latest order contained a badly damaged product, a tin of infant milk which was crushed on one side with formula spilling out of the tin. I have requested a refund on this one product and so far received no reply whatsoever.

1 The beer bottles were left loose on top of the crisp bags leaving some bags to burst open and all other crisp bags were crushed 2 I have tried some of the crisps and so far they all taste stale

When receiving the box I could feel underneath that it was damp in the corner. On opening the main box there were three separate boxes all damp...the first one had some dried goods but were wet (photographs taken) so no good. Second box had the coke (which had leaked and also washing up liquid) which had obviously caused all the boxes to be damp/wet. The third had more dried goods with open/damaged packets of stuffing and smarties. :(

The products that I choose wasn't. The deals that I came across wasn't value for money. Sorry 18 cans of coke times two are in the shops £7.00. Deal. And with long date.

I thought I put the code in AP_FREE50 on my last shopping bill as I spent over £90.00 but I've been told TOM PEMBERTON said I didn't put in down. Also he said that in the t & c it doesn't give you FREE DELIVERY SO YOU SHOULDN'T SHOW IT US AS " FREE DELIVERY FOR BUYING GOODS OVER £50.00. I expect this will be deleted any way.

Carriage remains a problem, delivery takes too long. The web site is not helpful the stages of the process are meaningless....takes days to 'pick' When other suppliers offer one day or two day delivery as norm five or six days is not good enough. As far as products are concerned customers are not stupid ; too few useful products too many esoteric lines of very limited interest . Comments are made as if the store chain'Home Bargains' does not exist many of their prices are lower than Approved Foods .... There remains scope for improvement especially with regard to carriage . I would be a much more regular user of Approved Food if the delivery times were improved . On the positive side the packing is of a good standard . I would be reluctant to recommend AF to friends because of the poor delivery record just mot dependable .... scope for significant improvement
