I understand the concept of a "mystery box" but when that box is half full on 2-year-old soup crackers, 'Multipack can not to be sold separately' cans of pop and singular chocolates that have been open, its not the best look! but the rest not too bad

My first order was not good, a £5 bag of Panko was split so didn’t know if still ok or for how long and a box of crocs just out of date tasted stale. Other things were fine but 2 losses cost the savings.

Company and products good. Courier company terrible. I got at least 9 texts saying my order was coming that day, and it didn’t. My order was on the van for over 2 weeks as the courier could not find my address. The COURIER. He had ONE JOB. Its not the first time. Please act on customer feedback.

Was disappointed with some of the products as the description was mot clear enough. I thought I bought normal size cans of diet coke and they were mini sized. Not a bargain at all. Same with the 'case,' of Caramel peanuts...5 little bags in a box. The mascaras were goid value but wouldn't bother with food again.

Mislead by unclear or incorrect offers, one example was a special offer of £10rrp down to a special price of £5 which ended up being for just 5 short dated cans of Coca Cola Zero (3 of which had blown out of shape), rather than the cases labelled 24 x 330ml which were pictured, the description didn’t say it was for just individual cans either and at that price who’d have guessed. The price being far more than the price of non short dated Coca Cola Zero cans on offer in our local Morrissons which worked out at 24p per can. So disappointed when I opened that, our first delivery, and it took well over a week for DX to deliver too. It was just a shame I’d put in another order by the time this one actually was delivered. Perhaps it was just mistakes and unfortunate with the delivery too but my experience is 2 out of 10.

Expensive out of date food. 8 cans of coke for 6 pounds, tesco do the same for 4 pounds. The idea is people buy out of date food for cheaper, not for the same price or more as food that is in date. Won't be using again.

For a start off parcel was left outside the driver didnt even bother to knock. Not sure if it was good value or not much cheaper than local shops

I've had four orders with this company, and I've had problems with every one of them. Whether it's slow delivery, damaged goods and poor customer service response, or failure to implement 'Free Delivery', there's always a problem. You would think after a couple of bad orders that I would learn, but I kept thinking that it had to improve. It didn't.

Some of the food on this order was over a year old. The uht milk was curdled. Have contacted approved food but no reply.

Historically, this company have been good value until of late. I paid for my order to be delivered, the DX courier stated Tues, I work Tues so rescheduled for Wed. They gave me a delivery slot it did not turn up. They then rescheduled it for the Wed, gave me a delivery slot it did not turn up. I spoke to Approved Foods they said DX could not gain access despite being in all day. Approved Foods said they would investigate, they did and they said the courier had rejected the delivery. Finally, on the Thurs it was delivered and dumped on my doorstep. Contacted Approved Food, who didnt comment, offered to refund delivery charge. Will I shop there again ?? No ......

Wasn’t very happy with my order as the main thing I ordered was out of stock wouldn’t of made an order if I knew this, asking feel you should of gave me my money back and not credit as I payed for it with money

Hi, We're so sorry for any disappointment caused by this item being unavailable. We are constantly doing spot audits and if items are deemed unfit for sale, then these will be removed from orders. As we don't store financial details for security reasons, we aren't able to provide an automatic refund to the payment method which is why this is automatically credited. Happy with the deals and amount of quality, discounted products, yet a item from my order was out of stock. I was not offered an alternative, or additional discount despite the same item being in stock at the same price, but listed differently (not sure why??) additionally my package when delivered was open. When I asked the delivery driver why, the driver stated he received it like that. Lastly, when emailed about my item not being in stock, I was automatically given a instore credit, which I did not want. I had to email your customer service to request a monetary refund something that I shouldn't have to ask, it should be automatic. On this occasion, and on this order the service has really been affected, it puts me of purchasing from this site in the future I'm afraid to say.

Hi, Thank you for your review, we're sorry for any disappointment you have had with this order. Your comments regarding how this order has arrived have been recorded for further monitoring and investigation, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. In regards to the out of stock item being credited to your Approved Food account, we don't actually process the payments ourselves and use a third party payment processor to do so, for security reasons. As such, for these said security purposes, we don't story any financial details and therefore don't have the facility to automatically refund straight to the payment method. However, we are always happy to refund this manually on request, as was done so with your order. I hope this helps to explain the reasoning behind why this was credited rather than refunded in the first instance, and would like to thank you again for making us aware of the issues with delivery. I was very impressed with the items I got. I ordered 3 Easter eggs. 2 large and 1 medium. The large eggs were heavier and more expensive. I received 3 small/medium eggs, all the same weight. I highly doubt I'll be using them again if they are going to scam people out of items they actually ordered.

Missing item. Worst of all was that 9 of one product had torn packaging and their was gooey sticky stuff on the items. Not good

Change your courier. I understand in these testing times that there are less staff etc. Than usual, however The courier scanned my box as delivered when it handy been delivered, I then had an email saying I'd get it the following day in the morning, didn't get it, contacted the courier on twitter, to get a snippy response saying its been delivered (it handy) informing me to get back to the sender, it took approved food a day and age to reply to my emails, this is all after it took them 10 days to dispatch the box in the first place, 13 days later I recieved it, on the evening of the second day, box was battered, and soaking wet, luckily I only bought bottles of alcohol, otherwise I shudder to think what food would have been like. I got a refund on my postage, but doesn't seem worth it for the amount of times, and people I had to fight with.

Some of the prices shown are different to the price shown (more expensive) this isn't good as I only noticed once my order was delivered but could not get in touch with you to try sort the issue out. Really not a happy man tbh. I won't be using the site again unless this issue is sorted out.

Hadn't ordered for a while but my sons wanted to order some stuff. Relatively small order with mostly drinks and snacks. It turned up in a really bad state, box ripped open and soaking with the driver saying he thought he got everything back in (turned out he didn't). Had a whole bottle of vinegar smashed inside and 3/4 bottle of coke gone, which explained the soaking box. Mailed the delivery firm, got an apology but told to take it up with approved food, but after mailing and waiting 5 days....no response from them at all about the delivery or the missing items.
