I received my samples in a good time and I was informed that they would be a little later than stated. When I received my samples one box was in good condition but the other was bent and battered. To me it hadn't been packaged well enough to protect it in transit. I know they were for a sample but it didn't give a good impression of the delivery. Cheers Lisa

Hello Lisa Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review, we really do take on board all comments to help improve our business. I'm sorry that one of the items did not arrive in a good condition. I have spoken to our Warehouse Manager regarding how the flat pack boxes are packaged and she is going to investigate other packaging solutions to ensure that all the boxes arrive in a tip top condition. Very quick delivery but bags a little smaller than expected and some of the bags smaller than others. 2 of the bags, out of 36, were unusable. One had been only partly printed on (snowflakes) and the others drawstrings were faulty. I've had these sorts of problems with other suppliers of organza bags & have become a bit resigned to these kind of problems. Hence the 'normal' rating. These are expensive for organza bags though so I had expected more.

Hi Michelle I'm sorry to hear that some of your organza bags were below the standard you were expecting. Thank you for bringing to light the issue with the drawstrings as this is a problem we have not been aware of before. If you would like us to send out replacement organza bags please get in touch and we can arrange this for you. I shall pass your feedback on to our warehouse manager to ensure that each bag is checked before they are sent out. The black bags I ordered are fine just one small detail where the bags fold the crease ruins the bag as it is quite white Other than that there ok

Hi Matthew, I'm sorry to hear that your black rope handle bags did not meet your expectations. I have spoken with our commercial manager and apparently this issue sometimes occurs during the printing process as the folded base of the bag cuts off the ink. If you would like to arrange a replacement please do get in touch and we can send more out to you. Once again I am sorry for the condition of these bags, and I hope this has gone some way to restoring your confidence in APL. Dominic

It's a shame we couldn't get the blue and white striped bags that we preferred. I think it would have been better if your site had told us this at point of order. It would then have given me the chance to look elsewhere. You did get in touch with me by email to explain however as you already had my payment details I felt I needed to go ahead. No big deal though.

Hi, Lynne, I'm sorry we didn't have the blue and white striped bags in stock when you placed your order, we should have made this clearer on our site. I will pass your feedback on to make sure this does not happen again. Having spoken to our fulfillment manager I have seen that you agreed on a replacement colour together. Product is fine, but although I rang on more than one occasion to find out about availability of the item & was told someone would get in touch with details, no one did. Not too bothered as I would still use your site, easy to order, very quick delivery.

As expected except paid for next day delivery but did not arrive next day (a Saturday) so due to Sunday and bank holiday it was Tuesday before delivery . 5 days after order Ian

Hi Ian, Thank you for your comments regarding our delivery message. I'm sorry if you feel our communication is unclear, we do try our best to make all our messages as comprehensible as possible. On the bottom of every page of our site you will find a message “Next working day delivery only £4.95” by “working day” we mean Monday to Friday (not including bank holidays). I'm sorry if this message wasn't clear to you, we do work hard to continuously improve our message and communications so I take on board your feedback. We are currently in the process of developing a new website and I will make sure that our delivery message is as clear as possible. If in future you do require a Saturday delivery please give us a call on 01903 2020333 and we will arrange this for you no problem (please note Saturday delivery does currently cost a bit more than our normal delivery charge of £4.95). As you've pointed out your order was delayed an additional day because of the bank holiday, as standard bank holidays are not considered a working day by our courier company and therefore do impact our delivery dates. Once again I'm sorry if this wasn't clear to you; we take on board your feedback and will address this concern on our new website. I hope you’re pleased with the white economy plastic bags you ordered from us and that my response has clarified our delivery details. Low minimum order for free delivery very helpful and excellent delivery time. Phone staff helpful and knowledgable. Bags were poorly cut with rough edges on the handle holes and openings.

I was disappointed in the stamped out handle holes, a bit rough and the bag was much lighter in weight than how it looked o the website.

We take all feedback very seriously and therefore I have investigated the issue immediately. I would like to apologise for the punch out handle not being as smooth as it should be, in response to your feedback we have spoken to our manufacturer to inform them of the issue. I would like to assure you that the issue you've highlighted is a fault with a single batch. The Manufacturing Manager has agreed to personally check the bags due in our next delivery to ensure that they have the highest quality finish, and we will also vigorously check them on arrival at our warehouse. On my 3rd order I received the completely wrong order. I emailed yourselves and received a reply from a gentleman called Simon Lawson who gave a very short email by return, It simply explained that my order would be delivered the next working day. There was no apology or empathy given towards my situation. I was not impressed by that at all. I feel customer service is vital and on that occasion a received none.

Thank you for your feedback. On fulfilling your second order a rare mistake was made by our fulfilment team and the incorrect bags were sent to your address. As soon as we were made aware of the mistake we arranged for the correct bags to be sent out right away. Our Commercial Manager Simon sent an email which apologised for our mistake and included a new tracking number for the consignment. We would have normally followed this up with a call, however after Simon sent his initial email to you he found that your order had been placed via PayPal. PayPal’s security system does not allow us to store contact telephone numbers or any other personal information, so on this occasion we could not follow-up by phone. We would like to apologise once more for this rare error. We are pleased to see that you are happy with our delivery service and that you have since placed a third order. I hope we have restored your confidence in APL. Thank you Charlotte
