I took the plunge and bought a digital piano package after much research. When I had checked out an item in the package was out of stock with an expected arrival of 6 weeks afterwards. No contact from Andertons for over a week, so I emailed to ask when my order would be dispatched. I was advised that as I had purchased through a finance package that I had to confirm if I wanted the package split - of course you'd at least hope after placing a £600 order that the largest item would be with you within 6 weeks, so I agreed. 4 months later and I'm still waiting for a stand, a stand that Andertons are still taking 'pre-orders' for. Now expected in May! 5 months after my initial order. I needed this stand for workshops to be able to get a wheelchair under. As it stands (or doesn't) I have a digital piano propped up on 2 side tables. Andertons state they will contact you closer to expected arrival of products but, they don't.

God's musical instruments should be sold by ANGELS only. Andertons Music Guilford have some members of staff and so call manager(s) who are not fit enough to sell God's Musical Instruments. When you buy something they are happy😊. When you want to return something they are miserable as sin☹️. Sometimes they can be impatient and unfriendly😠. I believe that all musical instruments come from GOD, and should only be sold by ANGELS. AMEN!!! 😇👍😇

I too have had problems with them despite them being a big name in UK retailing and with a very successful Youtube Channel. One amp they tried to send me wasn't new as described but B stock and it was pretty badly damaged which wasn't mentioned on their website. When I recieved the pics of the damage 2 days later by email(after I had already paid for the amp) I called to cancel immediately and that was a hassle, staff were unfriendly and lacked any empathy or personality. Guy said to me it was definitely mentioned it was B stock but said there should have been damage pics on the website. I took a screen shot of the amp and description when I ordered as I always do and said to him he was wrong, there was no mention of the damage anywhere, I then said I could email him the screen shot but he kept saying I was wrong and it did mention it but then went on to contradict himself by saying he couldn't get a hold of the amp and description as it wasn't in stock anymore and that was the last one. We went back and forward for 5 mins with him basically saying I was lying. He then said sarcastically of course there is damage what do you expect for the sale price. Then they mucked up my address twice in a row and that meant I didn't get the items I ordered, I did eventually on the 3rd attempt after a 2 week delay from initial order. That was my fault apparently for not inserting my address on their website apparently, even though I showed another staff member it was correct on their website. The problem was theirs and their actual printed label was wrong. Then the guy switched to it was the couriers fault, it wasn't as I called the courier when my order was a no show and they read my address back to me and it was missing my flat number, so Andertons fault but they would never admit it. Every time I call this company I get the same we blame everyone but ourselves routine and unfriendly, unhelpful, cold handed and very bad customer service. They need to get rid of a few staff that have an attitude problem. To be fair the one and only order out of 4 I have did with them that was problem free was the last one, but even in that order I called them to make sure they had sorted my address out properly this time and the same guy I recognised from the last time I spoke to them cut me off mid sentence and was just rude. I have worked quite a lot in customer service and I know the standards required and this lot fall way beneath the standard required not to mention trying to fob off goods that are not as advertised and other basic mistakes you wouldn't expect from such a well known company.

Delivered a guitar ordered online with a bad defect. Disappointing lack of quality control. Then refused a return, as I didn’t notify promptly enough (hid behind small print etc.). Really disappointing experience, and not what you’d expect from a company that trades on the UK family business etc. May as well have ordered from Amazon, who would have sorted it no questions asked and not made me feel like I’d been mugged.

No reply. I was disappointed to receive used/ B stock. I don't mind used, but if I want used I use eBay or Reverb for that. Ill try and use GAK or other places now, even if Andertons are cheaper in some items. Hi Received thanks. However, the box was open, no paperwork in there at all and 2 screws missing. I'm guessing it was a return or B stock which is fine, but it was advertised as new and the last one in stock. Cheers.

I had an unplayable second hand guitar foisted on me by them. Obviously they knew what they were doing, no guitar dealer is going to send a guitar out in that condition. Having had to wait for my guitar tech to stop shielding he informed me that it was a truss rod issue, as in it didn't do anything. After letting them know a customer service rep said they'd take it back and have a look at it. They were over ruled by somebody else. Buy from Andertons at your peril. Regardless of whether they'd take the guitar back or not, I'd avoid any guitar dealer that is happy to send a guitar out that is in that condition.

I do not enjoy the way Andertons completely shits on their customers. I bought a b-stock synth at a great price - but they call me late afternoon day before delivery and tell me it wasn’t available anymore. Someone who worked there wanted it so he bought it, after I had paid for it, and now it’s not available. They were willing to make a deal though, I’d get to buy another model synth at the same price I had already paid - one they had as a demo - but that would mean I’d be paying 100£ over the price of a new model for this demo. If they cared at all about their customers they would send me the product I had bought, or offer me a new one at the price I had paid but instead they absolutely try to rip you off. Telling everyone I know about this, Anderson’s will lose a lot of money over this, hope it was worth it for you, Charles in Keyboard department.

Very poor customer service ,staff not really interested in helping you ,bought a Gibson les Paul 60s guitar off this company about a year ago ,the guitar had a scratch mark on it ,paying close to 2 thousand pounds you would expect it to be mint condition, more than likely it has been demonstrated in the shop ,? Was going to give them another chance ,phoned them regarding a Gibson les Paul slash guitar ,same problem staff not really interested, so will shop else where ,avoid Anderson’s ,they just want you money

Ordering from outside of England? Think hard.. Think twice. Shipping delays and hassles. Unexpected and unaddressed import fees (your item held up till courier is paid).... and returns? Ugh. Took me a month to get my money back... and shipping to and back not covered. Big mistake (I live in the US). Think twice. For me? NEVER again. Zero stars.

I ordered a wireless SM58 mic and was told it would arrive within a couple weeks. However, it turned out their suppliers didn’t even have it in stock, despite the fact I was initially told they did. The mic didn’t arrive on the scheduled delivery date and I didn’t even get a call to explain:; I had to follow it up the following wk. Moreover, my dissatisfaction escalated as during the follow up conversation, I was told it would arrive within the following wk, or so and to my absolute shock, I received an email thanking me for using Anderson’s, but my mic would now arrive in approx 6 wk time, but could be longer due to stock issues (will now be 2+months late). Following this, I called to cancel my order (with explanation as to why to the staff member), and the response was simply a blunt ‘Ok, no problem’ , I’ll cancel it. Quite frankly this staff member doesn’t do Anderson’s any favours whatsoever and could do with reading Dale Garnegie, ‘How to win friends and influence people’. With regards to Anderson’s, as a whole, they really need to get their act together. Based on my experience with Anderson’s, I will not be using them again, for anything!

I was looking to buy a Roland Electronic Drum Kit plus monitor and pedals, looked around the web at pricing etc, and as Andertons in Guildford is quite local rang them up as they were advertising "in-stock", and sort of expecting they'd price match the best deals advertised. Well I was very wrong and quite insulted when the guy offered me effectively 2% discount on £3k, and wouldn't consider price matching. The reason they have good stocks is because their over-priced!! Ended up using Rimmers Music who were fantastic, excellent pricing and customer service. Think I know who will be my first port of call for my next purchase.

Previously I had never had much problems with this company. But very recently had two faulty amps from different makes and models sent to me via their warehouse. The items that Andertons have sent me also look like the amps had been returned to Andertons by other customers as one of amp had clearly been repackaged and has a bit of green masking type tape on the opened manual package and the power plug package on one of the amps. This is the second faulty amp item I have received recently from their warehouse. If you do order from this company, make sure you check the item is fully ok and working.
