“This is a great idea but needs a bit more thought in the execution. The puppy is too hard and the fur could be put on better. The purring sound needs to have a switch to turn it off and the puppy developed an irritating ticking sound which is annoying for someone with dementia. It has the potential to be a good product for someone with dementia. The packaging is lovely for a gift.”

We're sorry to hear that our customer was unhappy with their pet. We advise to all of our customers, that if a product they have purchased is not suitable, then we do offer a hassle free 30 day returns policy.

“Pros: reminder if you don't respond first time; fits in pocket ; easy to use Cons: too fragile. This is my second one and, again, it hasn't lasted well. Drop it twice (remember the demographic that buys this) and it comes apart.”

We're sorry to hear our customer had problems setting up this product. Our customer received some technical support directly from the manufacturer and it appears that the product is faulty. We've arranged for a free return and full refund (as requested by the customer) along with our apologies that the product didn't work on this occasion

“My mum has dementia, so this is why I purchased the items from this site. I guess the condition affects different people in different ways, but a common factor must be a loss of cognitive ability, dexterity and site. Many of the gifts here are nostalgia items designed to stimulate memory. Some appear to be recreations of actual games from years gone by, but the problem is they weren't originally designed for people with dementia, they were made as children's games.”

“We are very pleased with the AlzProducts clock/reminder, however are unable to show the picture of pills on the second reminder. Please can you provide some advice. Thanks.”

“This is a good product but a little basic for my mothers needs. I felt it was more like a baby's toy than something mum would be interested in. This could be a poor purchase choice on my part, and although mum fiddles with everything around her maybe her dementia is not advanced enough for this item. It's VERY basic for the price.”

We're sorry to hear that the Fiddle Muff Comforter was a little basic for her mother’s needs. We do have a 30 day returns policy, so you are welcome to return the Fiddle Muff for a refund. Please contact our customer service team and we'll be happy to get this booked into our system.

“Disappointed the size of the screen when edged by the heavy white surround. Most people with Dementia or Alzheimer’s need a large screen to see clearly the time of the day. Why do you need a comma after the date figure? Similarly very difficult for person with dementia to work out what exactly is it’s purpose. Take it out. It was very easy to set up.”

“AlzProducts were helpful at telling me how to return my item but charged me for original postage and return postage even though I was unable to make use of the product.”

“We bought the Mirror books for the 50’s and 60’s for my father in law, but sadly we’re a bit disappointed. The small newspaper print isn’t very sharp and is so small it is hard to read. Bearing in mind these books are more likely to be purchased for ageing people, who might also have sight deterioration, I would have hoped the images and text to be clearer. Having said that, the large headline print is legible so hopefully they will spark some memories.”

We're sorry to hear that our customer was disappointed with the newspaper books. We do appreciate that the writing is small and may be difficult to read. They are designed to look like the original newspaper and be shared as a reminiscence aid. We do have a 30 day returns policy, so the books can be returned for a refund if they are unsuitable.

“The product itself is good. But the instructions are very poor. Did you ask someone not involved in your company to follow your instructions? I spent an hour watching videos, reading reviews as well as reading the instructions… I also called your helpline and the message said you were too busy to answer the phone and to send an email. What use is that? I got an email back from you which just sent me back to the start. When you go on to your website, the instructions are exactly the same as come with the product. I don’t know how I did it, but I managed it, but it was not a happy experience. My 93 year old mother was nonplussed by the efforts it took. So I invite you to ask someone to see if they can follow the instructions… I think you will be surprised!!”

We're sorry to hear that our customer had difficulty with programming their remote control and also for getting technical support. We've recently (since this review was left) fully reopened our telephone lines after we had some issues with staffing due to COVID. We do also understand our customers concern with the instructions for this specific product, unfortunately, as a retailer, we aren't able to improve/change the manufacturer's instructions. “Hi Thomas i am sorry to inform you but I posted back your product because of late delivery. The delivery day was Monday 15 November not Friday 12 November . When I made order on your website delivery day was 12/11/2021 .”

We're sorry to hear our customer is unhappy with the delivery of their order. We've investigated this and found that the delivery was made within 3 working days of dispatch, however, it could be clearer on our website that orders must be placed before the cut-off to be made within 3 working days. We will make this clearer on our website and also have plans for further improvements to our delivery estimations for the new year.
