“The service from the company was great, ordering was simple, delivery was good, i brought enough to do a couple of windows on the front of my house, I have fitted various window films before so knew what I was doing, for a change I read the instructions, peeling of the film was very difficult and frustrating, stuck to the windows ok but creased in the corner, I then stood outside and looked in and could see through into the lounge, it did not give me as much privacy as I had hoped or thought it would after looking at the website, I have put the rest of the film in the bin and will search for a different product.”

One-way mirror window films work based on the principle of light balance and reflection. During daylight hours when it is brighter outside, the film gives the exterior of your windows a mirror-like effect, enhancing privacy by preventing people from seeing inside. However, if it is darker outside and brighter inside, like in the evening when indoor lights are on, the effect can reverse. To optimize privacy, it's essential to apply the film to all windows in a room. If some windows are untreated, they can disrupt the light balance, which in turn can affect the effectiveness of the one-way mirror effect of the film. Your feedback regarding the challenges of applying the film without causing creases is valuable to us. I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulties in this regard. “Fabulous service and good delivery After I posted my original review (the mistake was mine) Martha from Active Window Films contacted me and asked me what the problem was with my first order. She was so helpful and arranged a replacement order for the correct type of film for my van windows. I was extremely pleased with the way she helped and advised me, it was unexpected but so refreshing I have received replacement film and everything is now great Such customer service is brilliant, I would recommend this company every time Thank you again for the help Martha”

“Would not buy this again I have been trying for a week now to get the mirror film to stay on the glass I have done everything quoted on the instructions and even checked the video. This is a terrible product as it keeps peling off the glass over night.”

“Ordered some frosted film for outside use on conservatory top windows to hide my insulation foil and roof panels (diy). The item I ordered was perfect and amount I received was exactly what I ordered. It arrived free of charge within the specified 48 hours. Well packed. I shall be using this company again to order more film. Excellent all round”
