“I chose AOFM Dubai for the Complete Artistic Pro Course out of all the others because I loved that I would be taught by such a diverse panel of makeup artists. My expectations were met, and how! We were taught so many individual and unique tips and tricks, the techniques they had perfected over the years and a lot of industry knowhow. The academy is well equipped with entire ranges of the best brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Nars, MAC etc. The ability to play around and experiment with all the products and different textures helped enhance our skills and creativity. As graduates, we now have access to free master’s classes arranged by the academy on a regular basis. Jana and Emily are brilliant mentors who have made sure we step out as makeup artists who are not only skilled but also disciplined and up to date on appropriate industry behaviour. I can't stress enough on how important this is, as your natural flair and talent need to be honed into professional skills that will help you build a good reputation in the industry.”

“The AOFM was life changing for me. It opened up opportunities I had only dreamt of before. The tutors were so informative and highly experienced within all areas of makeup which gave every student a wonderful learning experience, providing extensive knowledge in a variety of skills. The aftercare is exceptional with continued support and assisting opportunities with some of the industries most talented makeup artists. “AOFM gave me my confidence back & the courage to give up my part time admin job and go freelance makeup artist full time. After a particularly challenging few years in my life I made the decision to finally follow my passion and get back into makeup. To do this I needed a school which was great, recommended, known in the industry, and ultimately was going to give me my confidence back into doing what I love, aswell as teach me new skills and techniques. AOFM was that school! What an amazing place! Run by the most talented and knowledgeable people in the industry, you are in such capable hands. They have makeup brands galore for you to try and use during your course, talented tutors from all different backgrounds each sharing their knowledge and skills that they have gained throughout their successful careers and also from the greats that they have assisted In the past. Not only that but the aftercare with AOFM is fantastic. Since graduating from AOFM I have given up my part time job and gone full time freelance makeup artist, I've worked on London Fashion Weeks assisting for AOFM and also on my own merit thanks to the experience gained from being backstage with AOFM. I've now made some amazing contacts and work for ITV regularly and have been confirmed to do a fashion show in Marbella this week. Put your mind to it and don't miss a class (you won't want to), I simply cannot thank AOFM enough and would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to take a serious step into their makeup career! “The Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM) is a international makeup school. I was lucky enough to attend a few years ago. Being the youngest in the class and also starting a new career can be extremely daunting to say the least. My fears were put aside as I began the “Total Pro” Intensive 4 week course. My team had around 15-20 pupils who came from all over the world, wanting to learn from the best of the best. The thing I most loved about AOFM were the teachers you got to learn from. Almost every day there was a new tutor, from a different country, telling you a story about there career in the industry, and teaching you the tips and tricks of the trade. Upon graduating AOFM I immediately felt the benefits from there great aftercare package and helpful team; that continues to this day. Through this I have been given the opportunity to work backstage in Milan, Paris, New York, Tokyo and London. I have assisted amazing artists and have worked in fashion and television. As a freelance makeup artist over the past few years I have worked for MAC Cosmetics, Multiple clothing brands, working on campaigns and look books, private cliental and magazine work. I left AOFM with the make up and business skills that has allowed me to be as successful as I want to be. I would highly recommend investing in your talent.”

“The Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM) is an international makeup school. I was lucky enough to attend the London Campus in 2010. Being the youngest in the class and also starting a new career can be extremely daunting, to say the least. My fears were put aside as I began the “Total Pro” Intensive 4-week course. The owners and staff working in the Academy are second to none and always on hand to rectify any situation. My class had pupils who came from all over the world, wanting to learn from the best of the best. The thing I most loved about AOFM was the teachers you got to learn from. Almost every day there was a new tutor, from a different country telling you stories about their career in the fashion and beauty industry, and teaching you their tips and tricks of the trade. Upon graduating from AOFM I immediately felt the benefits from their great aftercare package and helpful team; that even 10 years later continues to this day! Through this, I have been allowed to work on high-profile shows backstage in Milan, Paris, New York, Tokyo and London multiple times. I have assisted amazing Makeup Artists and have worked in fashion, film and television internationally. As a freelance makeup artist over the past ten years, I have worked for MAC Cosmetics, International films, Fashion brands working on campaigns, look books and E-commerce, private clients and editorials for magazines. The highlight of my time with AOFM will always be working on the Viktor&Rolf Show in Paris, (Please see my attached images.) I left AOFM with the make-up and business skills that have allowed me to be as successful as I could be and given me the confidence and support to go as far as I wanted to. “After several years of research I decided to follow "The Complete Artistic Pro Specialist in Hair Styling and Makeup Artistry" offered by AOFM in Dubai and I can say that I do not regret it at all. I strongly believe that the academy offers the best course of makeup. Everything was superlative. The course was very intensive, but I learned a lot, starting from the basics of makeup and hair styling to special effects and airbrush makeup. I really liked that they have different teachers from whom I learned different techniques in the art of makeup and that they have products from different top brands (Mac, Nars, Makeup Forever, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Huda Beauty, etc.). The two photo shoots during the course were a big PRO because I had the opportunity to add to my portfolio professional photos. The best part is that after finishing the course AOFM gave me the opportunity to be part of the backstage team at the best fashion shows around the world and at the best masterclasses offered by the best makeup artists in Dubai . Thank you AOFM for welcoming me into your big family and fulfilling my wish to become a makeup artist”

“It was all worth it! I graduated at AOFM this August ‘22 and completed the Artistic Pro Specialist Course in hair styling and makeup artistry. I have learned a lot from different well knowned MUAs and their own techniques. The school lets you use a varieties of top quality make up and hair products such as Schwarzcopf, Keune, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, Make up forever, Nars, Mac, Anastasia, Kryolan, etc. I get the chance to use these in school and was able to know the difference and use of each. Another good thing about AOFM is that they will instill you the ethics on how to be a professional MUA which will be really useful in the future. The school also gives a FREE MAKEUP MASTERCLASSes after you graduate. And the best is they don’t let you go on your own after you graduated especially for the beginners like me. They will give you an experience on how it works in the real world. And they will guide you until the end. AOFM sponsor fashion shows, films, events which you can participate by assisting or by being the make up artist. They also provide exceptional photographer like CS Toledo in one of our projects in school for our portfolio. “I was trained in Freelance Makeup Artistry with AOFM in London. The course consisted of 6 days of learning skills/looks then recreating them. During the course, I learnt more stuff that I can even list including; professional artistry skills, how to work with different skin types and face shapes, advice on sanitation, self-promotion and how to build up our kits. We got to work with various makeup artists who all have very different individual personal styles. Each artist brought in their own kits which meant we got to try out different brands each day. This helped us to see what we loved working with and how each product works well with different skin types etc. They also brought along their portfolios so we could see all the amazing work they’ve done. Some of the work was unbelievably amazing! Every day started with meeting the new artist for that day and having a look at their portfolios. We then got a demonstration done on one of the ladies and we got to make notes, take pictures and ask questions whilst we watched. We then got into pairs and recreated the look that afternoon! I enrolled in the 1 week course where I just learnt makeup. You were able to take a longer course which included nails and hair but also required you to take an exam, which personally wasn’t what I wanted to do. I learnt so many valuable skills in one week. It was so worth it! Some of the looks I was able to create included; a ‘no-makeup’ makeup look, natural wedding glam, dewy glow look, shaping & filling brows, editorial & finally my favourite- a recreation of an instagram look where I picked a rainbow eyeshadow with matching lips! They even offer FREE masterclasses for graduates which I am yet to try but I can guarantee will be amazing! They're in a perfect location and I would recommend this course to anyone with a passion for makeup and beauty.”

“I finished my course in Feb 2018 . .I did the complete pro course. and have had so many oppurtunites since , I have been in Paris several times for fashion week and have been the lead in my own show in Paris Feb 2019 for couture week. I have worked New york fashion week and have had to turn down Paris and Milan and Greece this year so far as was so busy with my editorial work. Everyone is lovely at the office and you get oppurtuties here that no other Make up school offer. The Teachers are second to none and are specialists in their field. There is great support and they offer refresher and Masterclasses so you are always up to date . I would have no hesitation in recomendeing this school . Lorraine Fowler Ella connor MUA”

“I took the 6 weeks "Dubai Complete Artistic Pro, Specialist in Hair Styling and Makeup Artistry" course. It is open to beginners. I graduated From AOFM last October 2022. I did a lot of research on this school before committing my savings and taking a change in direction in my life. It was the best decision I made to be with this school, these teachers, and my wonderful batchmate friends. Love you all. AOFM has now opened up a lot of opportunities for me. If I could give a million stars I would. They are not just a make-up school; they will help you to grow in your career as a make-up artist. All the teachers Nikki, Jade, Emily, JoJo, Betty , dani and Valentino provided by the academy are very supportive, knowledgeable, and talented. They have been in this industry for many years. I admire them so much they don’t just teach you they will prepare you for the road ahead. But to anyone who thinks it is easy, it is not. You need to be punctual and respect the teachers and what they are teaching you. The course is amazing, but not for people who do not want to work hard, listen, and learn. If you do not like rude people, then a career in make-up is not for you. You need to be strong and patient. Fashion and make-up roles are very demanding, long hours, lots of travelling and can be very tiring. So many people depend on you and how you perform in this school will show you if you have what it takes. Not everyone can pass. But I love it! To Valentino that has been there for all of us since day one, I will never forget you. You and the team have been amazing. So, thank you for everything you have done for me. You are very smart, talented, helpful, and so patient with us (well most of us!). Sarah, I can’t imagine AOFM without you. You keep the whole operation going. You always want the best for us, but God forbid if we are late!😅 Jana, you have been brilliant, funny, and amazing. “I graduated from AOFM recently and I want to share my experience throughout the course. I finished the 6 weeks Pro artistic course in Dubai. The teachers throughout all the course were amazing, each one of them showed us their own technique and way of doing makeup. I loved so much how the course taught us different skills. The photoshoot day with professional models, which they organise is such an amazing and unforgettable experience, the feeling cannot be described. I am not going to lie and say it was easy, actually this is a very intensive course with assignments and exams (as it should be). They are very precise with them and strict with time, but nevertheless I think this is very important as they prepare us for this industry. However, once you graduate, the opportunities don’t stop there, they offer so many masterclasses with known brands and makeup artists. Also, once you are accepted into their AOFM Pro Team, you will get to work backstage on so many shows. So many artists work for years to get to this point in their careers, but despite that they offer these opportunities to their students. My advice is that you listen, get those assignments done, study for the exams, get the best out of the course, because in the end you will realise how it was worth it. My honest opinion is that if you are wondering whether to study in this academy or not, I advise you to go for it and you will not be disappointed. If you really want to work as a makeup artist and want to get into this industry, this academy is a huge jump start in your career. Big thanks to Jana- the founder who really gives this academy his all, Valentino- our lead teacher (such an amazing person and educator), Jade and Emily- sweethearts, who are always patient and helping you out, Jojo- such a creative artist, from which you can learn a lot and last but not least our lovely Sara- she is one of the most caring, patient and helpful people there. “I recently completed “The complete Artistic Pro Specialist Course in hair styling and makeup artistry”. I am really happy with the way the classes were taken, the mentors are very knowledgeable and supportive , my favourite mentors are “Emily Clayton” and Jana Ririnui. Emily Clayton way of teaching is amazing, her dedication to teach us perfection is amazing. I have learnt so many aspects of makeup in 6 weeks that now i feel confident to start my own freelancing. I am still in touch with the tutors as they provide free masterclasses to ex students which is amazing as it keeps my skills refreshed. “I took The complete artistic pro specialist course in hair Styling and makeup in dubai in jan 2020. The course was Challenging but I learned a lot of things, had fun and made new friends during that period. We were taught By different makeup artist working in the industry and learned different things from each one. Also, the school provided a high quality tools and makeup during the course. Personally i loved creative and special effects classes therefore my favorite instructors were Emily and Jojo; i also enjoyed hair week and loved Betty. After finishing the course the pandemic happened however the school kept in touch and provided a lot of Online master classes, i attended most of them and i liked them all. The school and the classes helped in teaching the way to pursue makeup as a career correctly. Jana also made sure that students understood the makeup industry and how to pursue it correctly to be successful in this career. I really enjoyed my time there,, two months were not enough 😊”

“I was supposed to go to another makeup school, but I’m so glad things didn’t work out and i went to AOFM! The professionalism of the school, teachers and products exceeded my expectations, even though it was the first course in Dubai. We had a new makeup artist everyday that had flown in from various parts of the world, and we got to learn their techniques and experiences from the industry. In all the research i did, I didn’t find any school that provided the same level of professionalism and care for their students. I only wish i could go back and stay in that school forever, it really feels like home.”

“Almost a year that I was planning to do a makeup course, I went to look to another makeup school in Dubai, but I did not like it, then I saw an advertisement on Instagram that AOFM opens their school in Dubai. I know they have a school in London. So I decided to visit the school, and I met Jana, he was so lovely, and he gave me all the information about the school and the courses. My favourite was the makeup room; I said WOW I've never seen any makeup school have that so many makeup collections for students to practice. I took The Complete artistic pro specialist course in hair styling and makeup artistry Date of course: January 11 to February 13, 2020. I learned so much in this school not only how to apply makeup but also learned product knowledge ( for hair & makeup ) and hygiene as a makeup artist, beauty business, etc. I feel I made the right decision and I was so happy got to learn a lot from different Professional makeup artists every day, The teachers were fantastic, very talented and experienced. Also, it was great to learn tips and trick from different Teachers and share their knowledge. After I graduated from AOFM, they have FREE graduate aftercare Masterclasses program to support all students to help with their career. From makeup brands such as NARS, Dermalogica, Inglot, Charlotte Tilbury, Mac and many more!! Also, I got to assist my teachers, Emily and Betty, on the Jobs, it Was terrific experiences. ❤️❤️”

Fast forward 13 years and I have a strong, successful career working in fashion, advertising, editorial & bridal. Their extensive training and knowledge is priceless and has stayed with me all these years later. I have been fortunate to have had my work featured in Vogue Italia, Grazia, Australian Womens Weekly, WHO, L'Officiel, GQ and many more. I have participated in London Fashion Weeks as part of AOFM ongoing support for their graduates.
