TL;DR Sofa warranties are not honoured, and it looks like they use a company whose sole purpose is to find a reason not to repair it. Bought a Hendricks sofa 4 years ago with a 10 year warranty. Sofas now sags due to strap stretch and sagging cushions, even after light use. Tried to contact customer services on the email they have everywhere. This now just bounces back. Finally get hold of customer support. They then send out a technician from an independent company called Emmiera Group Ltd . They turn up and instead of repairing the sofa look for faults on the frame. I explain that is not why they are here. They just make excuses and leave. Contact Habitat/Argos and I am put through to a different company. They tell me there will be no repair as the frame is not damaged. I asked them for a copy of the report with my number 113948494 and they refused to send me it. All they would do is give me the phone number of Habitat customer services, and said that they would send me a copy. As well as this, it was obvious at the time of inspection that they were just looking for a reason not to repair the sofa. I then contact Habitat/Argos customer services and explained that the sofa has been inspected incorrectly and not repaired. All they did was keep repeating themselves about an independent report was needed. I explained that the sofa had been inspected, but incorrectly. Again, they said an independent report was needed. I then asked them for a copy of my report and that request was refused. I told customer services to lodge a complaint, and have now been told I have to wait for them to contact me which has been over a week now. I do not expect them to forward me a copy of my sofa inspection, nor do I expect a positive outcome from this. So to summarize. In my opinion Habitat/Argos are not honouring their warranties when they should be. They are also using a company to inspect sofas in a way so they can refuse the work. It would be interesting to see what percentage of sofas they do actually repair. I presume it would be a low amount, if any.

We brought one 2 seater and one 3 seater leather sofa from your on line shop when they turned up put the leg's on and started using them as normal. Now here we are 18 months old and they are all beginning to sink so when your sitting down you can feel the wood on the bottom of you back. Don't waste you money them.

Radius bedroom furniture - I purchased a bedframe from Habitat Brighton in July 2022 and was told that the matching bedside cabinets and chest of drawers would be in stock shortly. After numerous visits to the store, emails and calls to customer services the items are still not available. I gave my review on Trust Pilot and this was their response - 'I can see this is showing in stock however it could be that the warehouse that delivers to your area is out of stock at the moment. We're unable to advise on when stock is due back in I'm sorry, the information on our website is a true representation of current stock availability and will refresh with new information as soon as the item is back in stock and available for you to buy so please do keep checking the site.' This response from Habitat is not satisfactory, 'Out of stock at the moment...' - six months is a very long moment! Customer Serices advised that it is in stock elsewhere in the country but couldn't tell me where. Still no-one can tell me when this will be back in stock in my area (and London and Yorkshire). I think it is wrong to have furniture on display which cannot be supplied. Buying the bedframe was a mistake as I cannot get matching furniture after being told it would be back in stock shortly.

Do not order! I ordered on behalf of a client, they cannot even get a VAT receipt correct!? The customer service is horrific, and that is not an exaggeration, I can’t think of a worse company that I have had the displeasure of dealing with.

We bought a reasonably expensive Askem sofa from Habitat (current price £1,400), thinking it a worthwhile investment, but after a year of ownership, when it started to dip in the middle, we discovered that Habitat sofa warranties are only valid for 12 months, including the frame. Given the price, and in comparison to other retailers, we find this ludicrous. The sofa in question had pretty light use - we don't have children or pets, and hadn't even been using it every night. In the end, we took the legs off, so that it would be equally supported in the middle, not just at the corners. Now the seat cushion have also lost their shape, and don't stay in place. We would never buy a sofa from Habitat again. The only reason I'm rating them 2 stars, rather than 1, is that I've had a few other more successful purchases, e.g. a quilt, and some glassware.

Read the reviews!!! I strongly regret not reading the reviews about Habitat before buying from them. This company has the WORST customer service EVER, and this appears to be the case everywhere since I bought my furniture at Pradera Concepción Mall located in Guatemala. I will not get into details because this company is not worth another second of my time. Don’t buy from them!!! RUN!!!

DO NOT order from this terrible company. It’s a scam. I ordered one item, received a different item. I reached out with pics of sent item and my original order and they are denying having sent the wrong item. I tried to call the number provided, it’s a beep and a VM no message. The emails provided no solution whatsoever. I have lodged a dispute with my CC company.

STILL waiting for my chair over 4 months on, incredibly frustrating to be told every week by your customer service team as its made to measure they dont know and can't tell me when it will arrive. Account says pending continually. Very frustrating. I'm in two minds wether to cancel as my patience is most certainly wearing thin.

The product I bought has such poor quality that cannot even be used. Through Argos I bought the item called "Metal Folding Relaxer Chair - Coastal Stripe", whose brand is Habitat (it is also listed on Habitat's website). At the beginning the chair was comfortable, but as a few weeks passed by it started to become more and more uncomfortable. At the beginning the cushioning was 15cm thick, now it is rather 5, and all the pieces of foam that are dangling inside the cloth cover have moved to the sides. The springs at the back of the chair are very weak, and deform in a few weeks. Now I cannot even use the deck chair because in 10 minutes I get so much back pain that cannot that I have to stand leave it.

Bought a Moda 3 seater faux leather settee through Argos in December. Less than 4 months later the fabric has cracked and split. Phoned Argos who sent a furniture assessor to my home to report on the damage. They claim that the damage is normal wear and tear and therefore not covered by the manufacturer warranty. They have refused to repair, exchange or refund the faulty item. Consumer Protection legislation clearly states that a product must be fit for purpose for a minimum of 12 months from purchase. That includes the fabric on the sofa. This sofa is not fit for purpose after 4 months of normal use. This company are thieves and charlatans, and have no regard for Consumer Rights laws. Do not buy from this company or any of the other companies they sell their products through, like Argos/Sainsbury, as you will be ripped off. Absolutely scandalous that they think they can get away with ignoring their responsibility under the law. Avoid!!!!!!

Long story short. This is a trash company. They steal pictures and send out trash product. Yet they still want to charge a 20% restocking fee for returns. Yeah I’m sure when I try to return it it will magically disappear and they won’t be able to do anything about it.

our letter to Habitat : 04.05.21 summary : THIS IS A ONE BIG TIME SINK, EXPENSIVE - JOKE! After opening our habitat deliver on moving into our new house in early March we discover two items had issues and contacted Habitat middle of March to inform them. 1:wardrobe (we paid handy man £60 to build up , and the door didn’t fit together) 2: trunk ( missing part , only 3 pcs of wood ) We contact you to see if we can replace but we’re informed we can only return the items for full refund. First arrange pick up was 30 of March - we wait all day , no one showing up or information about pick up. Then we arrange second weekend pick up 3 or 4 April - was collected a around 9 am by two men but no refund had appeared in our bank? We called about missing refund 15 of April - The girl said it had been paid and ask my call my bank for the money even though it hadn’t. She also said a confirmation letter was send out by 30 of March ????? We asked to log the call on the system and send us another letter. Ask us wait 1 week call back... We called again on 21st April - the reply was it is with our financial team now , money should be with you 22 of April ??? Because company deal with it 5 working day since I called 15 April...Ask me wait again! We called back on 25th April again asking what’s going on ? Then the girl answer is with our financial team because you call on 21 of April , is 10 working day , should be with you may 1st!? Call again may 3rd AGAIN - the answer is nothing they can do , only check with financial team , ask me wait AGAIN. I have now called many times and you asked what’s picked up and with no record, email or information on your system apart from the initial order. WE REQUIRE AN IMMEDIATE REFUND TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. please respond urgently with a solution to conclude this now serious situation!!

The worse experience, delivery time wise, where they place items upon delivery, missing items, no way to reach them. I've wasted pointless hours on attempting to contact customer service, by calling them 97 times, being on hold, carrying out a 3 hour internet trawl, investigation to contact them, with still no luck. Habitat's recent "merge" with Argos is an actual pile of poo. Simple logistics such as delivery of small items and basic customer service, such as providing an actually functioning customer service number or at least a real contact form or automated system are non existent. Habitat is operating on a no care for customers, available service, assistance or bother basis. Rubbish. The worse experience during the pandemic. All the other countries and delivery services, including the ones operating outside of the UK have gotten a grip on online orders, delivery and customer service. Habitat, you are a shambles. Get back to me ASAP. My order number is #512488767.

Useless service - they don't understand nor care about customers Spent £5000 on 3 products, 2 sofa's and 6 dining room chairs. Chairs, 5 perfect, 1 faulty - 3 goes to fix (18 deliveries) and gave up. Sofa, 1 perfect, second they made only 50% of the sofa, but took all the money. Now just received the replacement sofa and guess what? Still not correct, because they can't send the right feet for it. And even when you send photo's of what they have sent, which are clearly 100% different from what their manual says should have been sent, they argue with you and tell you that you are wrong. Company is incompetent. Customer service is none existent and genuinely regret dealing with Habitat. 4 months after ordering and taking the money, still don't have everything and am fed up, if this is the type of service that you want to experience, then go ahead and buy from them, have given up contacting Habitat customer service - spent too long on hold, I don't use facebook and they don't respond to emails - policy decision by them. So have had to escalate to Sainsbury's, but now just wasting more time Sofa's are good, chairs are so-so. Will not buy again from them based on this, they just don't understand how to do the basics right and don't solve problems
