Spent £70 on 4 dvds& and 5 CDs. At the checkout agent said, 75p for a bag. Told the agent I had no more cash on me only the £70. Had to carry the dvds and CDs loose in my hands around Darlington for over an hour as agent wouldn't let me have a bag to carry the£70 worth of items I had just bought. Been shopping at hmv since early 90,s. Buy all my dvds there, never again. It's Amazon from now on. The most unhelpful and disinterested staff possible hmv Darlington you've helped to lose another customer.

Complete scam artists, happy to take your money and then send you an empty box and when you complain, they call you a thief, seriously, do not use these, they're not the same company they used to be, they're scam artists.

Ordered the same blu ray twice, and they sent the wrong blu ray to me twice; the titles aren't even the close to being the same, you just get a robotic apology and no good will gesture

First it took a long time to get then when I received it it's of horrible quality you can't even watch it it's so bad and they won't tell me how to return it for a refund they just ignore my messages. I wouldn't recommend buying from them ever if this is how they service the public.

Was enjoying hmv online but after a few months my orders would not process and I tried in vain to speak to someone to resolve the issue but just got sent the company rhetoric from an online chat bot,no one human ever tried to help me so I deleted my account which was a nightmare in itself,your better off visiting the store or getting somewhere else

HMV in Belfast no longer allow customers to go and browse.A member of staff will go and get the dvds or blu rays for the customers I'm puzzled about this restriction

I ordered a box set on 13/1 and it still hasn’t arrived on 28/1. What is most annoying is that I can’t speak to a human being about it.

Your sight is terrible . I signed up to be a customer and subscriber but for some reason my details would not upload so I thought . So got emails off you and tried to order from your store on two occasions and you have refused to accept my orders as I have to input my passwords which I forgot. So I pressed to reset password but this facility doesn’t work either . You have lost over a hundred pounds worth of orders from me . Wont be using your sight again

I pre-ordered a yellow record from HMV at 29.99. I wanted the yellow version rather than the black. A couple of weeks later HMV emailed me to say that they used the wrong description and image on their website and that I had ordered the black version. If I didn’t want the black version I would have to fill out a form to cancel my order and order the yellow version at 34.99. I gave them a couple of opportunities to be accountable for their error but they would not budge. I have asked for my account to be deleted and will never use them again. Lots of competitors in this market who do a better job at the same or a better price.

Had no problems with their DVDs or CDs in the past, but everytime I buy an electrical product (like headphones) they don't work properly. Doesn't matter if it's wired or wireless, it's the same issue. Their online service is rubbish as well. Orders usually take over a week to arrive. HMV as a whole is only good if your buying DVDs or CDs in the shop, whhich let's be honest isn't really the thing to do in 2022, proof once more that we don't really need this company nowadays. Shop around online for better quality and results.

Awful customer service. I preordered 2 funko pops in early January, these were released in March, however I did not receive them, I emailed them multiple times and they simply ignored them, a few days ago I tried to cancel the order because I was at the end of my tether and bought the items elsewhere because I was done waiting, however they conveniently charged me and sent the items 3 days later, so evidently they ignored my cancellation and I’ll have to go out of my way to return the items due to HMV’s customer service incompetence.

Do your homework before you buy! I recently bought a vinyl LP (double) from one of your stores and paid £39.99. I checked six outlets afterwards and found that you were £10-£12 dearer in every case. I went on to price several different titles and again in every case yours were several pounds dearer. The term exploitation comes to mind. Knowing HMV problems in the past I would have thought you would be more competitive.

Stating on their website that this particular CD is in stock telling me after 1 week that they still waiting for it to be restocked. ..disaster experience online. .

Dreadful experience. First they send me two faulty vinyls and then they flag my review for “not being genuine” instead of just helping me with this. They received my return of two faulty vinyls on the 27/01/2021 (as confirmed by Royal Mail). I received no confirmation of this at all and they are not refunding my moneys Absolute thieves.

I pre ordered an item that was released on 1st February and not despatched yet I've asked for refund they ignore emails and so what they like get told be despatch one day then nothing get told be despatched today I keep emailing this rubbish obnoxious company asking for refund and again ignore this company is worse than ever and hope it goes bust it should of closed well before now specially when they don't think.of customers only making profit for a shop owner that shows nothing but arrogance, rudeness no respect and shoves all what a customer asks for to one side. a total disgrace and the owner Yankee Doodle needs to put head down in shame

ordered dvd online 31st January £9-99 get message stating delay despatching on standard delivery ok HMV Greed is a sin and no such thing as VIP I pay £6 for 2day delivery does mean I would have had it despatched and no doubt received by now item was a new release and pre order as item was out Monday 1st February. I've emailed asking them to cancel order and for a refund all morning of Tuesday 2nd and arrogant staff don't respond old of thought responding and sorting any issues out re a company would say alot well yes it does it states how rubbish hmv as got sunrise records nothing bright in staff shops are dull owner must be twice as dull to carry on keeping rude staff on that can not find time to rectify any issues that may arise hope you guys at hmv dont last long in a job and hmv goes under again as customers do not want these services at all

USE AMAZON INSTEAD. Absolutely disgusting experience. I returned (or tried to) two unwanted items, both sent in the same parcel. Spent three weeks telling them this and they still claim they've only received 1. They've got thieves working in their returns department is my only conclusion.
