The worst company in the world? I ordered twice from blacks once via their Amazon and via the website at the same time, they claim all the items went missing in transit, 2 different delivery companies, different times. absolute lies!

Ordered a tent a week in advance of a camping trip from Blacks website. Was informed some orders may take 10 days to arrive but 80% of orders arrive within 4 days. The day before my trip I had still not received a dispatch email so went to Millets and bought the same tent in their store. I called Black 'Customer Care' not that they do care. I wanted to cancel my order which had not been dispatched. I was told that they could not cancel the order and I would have to wait for it to be shipped and then refuse delivery for it to be returned. I explained that I was leaving to do away on holiday and that Hermes would likely just leave it on my doorstep but was told that this could not happen as Blacks have 'safeguarding' measures in place to prevent this. Low and behold the day after I leave Hermes leave it on my doorstep for all to see. I emailed Blacks again forwarding the Hermes delivery email to them and explaining that it could easily get stolen and asking them to get Hermes to go and collect it only to receive a generic email back asking me to claim for non delivery of the item. Get home 5 days later luckily to find the tent still there. I call Blacks to arrange returning it only to be told that I need to pay to return the item. I did not want the tent in the first place, I did not accept delivery of it and have had to pay for returning it. 1 month later and I have still not received my refund nor hand any contact from Blacks. Disguting service from an appauling company. Avoid at all costs.

Totally hopeless company rang to change delivery address told I could not until dispatched rang back when dispatched told I could not change delivery address at all. Told I will need to get a refund and re order if they manage to get the Parcel back from the courier. Do not order from this company as they are a complete waste of time.

dreadful after sale process and service - paid £34 for two self inflating loungers neither of which would inflate because they had a hole in. Told to take them to a local store or send them back at my own expense and someone would consider whether or not they were damaged - just a joke AVOID - even if the goods cost you a few £ more elsewhere do it as the agro just not worth it

ridiculous customer service, ordered £80 of stuff so did not pay delivery fee and then when I wanted to return some of the items they told me I need to pay £9.98 on Hermes collection as the box they send me the stuff in was too big. The guy on the phone was reading off a script for their returns policy and when I complained and asked to speak to a manager they said the manager would tell me the same so they didn't even bother transferring me. We have had more than a year of coronavirus and Blacs.co.uk has not upgraded their returns policy to join the 21st century like every other store, never again.

Purchased the wrong gas canisters, my mistake, took them back to the shop with the receipt and was told they don’t except gas canisters back not even for an exchange. Not told this at checkout or are there any signs to tell you this. Will not be shopping there again.

Having read the reviews on this website after ordering a tent awning I was worried my product wouldn’t arrive in time for my camping trip. It did arrive however and before the date advised so I wanted to at least put my positive experience against all the negative ones on this website.

It’s a shame I hadn’t read the reviews below earlier. Only part of my order was received. I have complained and need to fill in forms before they will investigate, even though they have all my details. I’ve been passed from customer “care” rep to customer “care” rep. It seems to be to be a ploy to stall the process. I am stunned at the poor level of customer service. I would say if you can order your item from somewhere else do so! Don’t waste your time with Blacks. Definitely won’t be using them again.

I have had a frustrating experience buying a product from Blacks online. They accepted my order for a sleeping bag, even though it soon became clear it was out of stock - not dispatched etc. This was no good as I needed it within a couple of weeks. I attempted to cancel the order but you can not do this. I waisted so much time trying to cancel the order and also try and find out what was going on, why there was a delay in dispatching, and how long the delay might be, but getting any information was impossible. All you get are computer generated emails saying things like 'some items are taking longer than normal', and 'Our Warehouse Staff are working hard to complete your order'. I even emailed Customer Services, to ask to cancel the item and find out why there was a delay, and all I got was an automated email reply saying they would get back to me - which they did not. I have since contacted them again, expressing my frustration - all I received was another automated email saying they will take steps to ensure such things don't happen again - but its just a nonsensical reply that means nothing. I have had to go to the hassle of returning the item and paying the postage. Hopefully I will get my refund, for the item, without more time consuming hassle. Blacks should not take your order if the item is not in stock - they should alert you to this fact before you order. If they do accept the order, then they should contact you, explain that there will be a delay and offer a refund/cancelation. At the very least, you should be able to cancel the order if it is out of stock and has not been dispatched. And just getting computer generated emails that are not specific to your problem is not good enough. It makes you wonder if this is a deliberate policy to take your money and hope you can't be bothered to return the item. I won't be using Blacks for mail order again - this is a shame since the item was very well priced and great value.

Waiting six months in total for a refund on a missing part from my order. Been fobbed off everytime I've emailed. How this company gets away with this is beyond me, absolutely shocking

Oh my..abysmal is too kind for the experience..Blacks received a parcel not belonging them sent via collectplus with another parcel, which I did get a refund for after weeks and weeks. The parcel they don't own was received by them on the 4th February..I have confirmation of this.. like other peoples reviews it was sat in the warehouse, I was advised this would be rejected and returned to me..I'm still waiting, just short of 3 months on..I wrote to their company owners, registered on Companies House..at my own cost I sent this registered and it was signed for on 21.4.2021..not a moral bone in their bodies..This is theft, their not your goods and you did not pay for them..almost £200 down..Without a doubt, I say DO NOT SPEND A PENNY with this company!!!

Absolutely awful experience with this Blacks,they will take your money & fob you off about a refund,I’m 95£ light,was told it will be at least 3weeks for them to process the return, this is unheard of ,scam!!

Scam. Ordered item a week back, showing in stock, 5-7 days delivery, free. No contact yet from them. They take your money for items they don't have, bank the interest of YOUR MONEY in their account. You can't cancel the order until you have received the goods and return them, then how long until you receive YOUR MONEY BACK? The online tracking service is inoperative. From what i know this is classed as false advertising and is against the law. Further action by Trading Standards is going to be taken. There is something not right about the way this organisation operates, please do not use them it really is just a lot of grief.Avoid.

Returned a NF coat via their prepaid system, waited a week no refund! Told by CC coat coat had arrived 27/3/21 & advised to wait 21 days before contacting again, but still no refund, contact again told it’ll be paid when it’s gone through system. They have my £90 & I can’t buy another coat until I get that money back.

Do not use this company. I have had the same experience as other people, Blacks accept your order but then cancel part of it without letting you know. Out of 9 items ordered 5.4.21 I have only received 3 which were each delivered independently. No communication from Blacks, had to keep phoning only to be told an item was out of stock and so has now supposedly been refunded. 3 other items have been re ordered but I have no confidence I will receive them. Just a waste of time and so frustrating, I will not use again.

Returned faulty goods. Keep getting the run around about the postage refund. They clearly think that people will give up if they keep ignoring. Yes, they send a nice email but then nothing is done.

Extremely unhappy with the lack of service from Blacks. I placed an order on 3rd April, nearly 2 weeks later I received part of the order, the following day I received a bit more of the order, that was 3 days ago. I have just called customer service to find out where the rest of my order is only to be told that the order was cancelled as they are out of stock. I have received no notification from Black's informing me that they will be cancelling the order. Why did they even accept the order if they were out of stock. I will not be using Blacks again, shoddy service

Do not order from this company if you… Do not order from this company if you want your goods in a timely fashion... So I place my order for, 4 items on the 7th of April which blacks accept and send me the email order confirmation and stating I will receive a further email once dispatched. This is the last I hear from blacks, so on Monday the 12th I give them a ring enquiring when my order will be dispatched. The lady I speak to informs me that 1 of my items is out of stock, so I ask the lady to cancel the whole order for me which the lady says she will do and I will receive the refund in 3-5 days. A bit peed that blacks let me order something that was out of stock and then never bothered to inform me. I had to ring and find out for myself. Anyway Because I thought I was receiving my refund, I order the whole order from another company. Happy days. However I receive an email from blacks today Tues 13th April stating they have dispatched part of my order. Even though the woman I spoke to said it was all cancelled. So I now have to wait another 4-6 days for the items to arrive just to return them ( I assume another 4-6 days) then wait up to 14 days for the refund. So all in all blacks will of had £111 of my money for roughly 1 month, for which I will have nothing to show for at the end of it. To make things worse I have ordered my whole order elsewhere, spending over £111 again because I was under the impression I would be receiving my refund in 5-7 days. This order was to help me get out and help with my mental health and all blacks have done is made my mental health worse and left me pretty much in hardship with there misinformation. Poor show blacks

I had to pay £6.30 to return a pair of faulty walking boots. Blacks said they would repay. I had the refund for the boots but not the postage. I’ve sent photos of the PO receipt on two occasions and several emails asking for the refund. I’ve given dates and times for them to call me. Nothing. Customer service is appalling. I would never use this company again.
