“I have searched for a spare part for my car twice using this site. On both occasions, I specified exactly what I was looking for. Whilst 1st Choice returned quotes, none of the salvage yards bothered to read what I had entered. The second one I tried to purchase off told me that the part was the correct colour; I paid for it, only to be told that it was the required colour after all.
So, yes 1st choice return quotes for you, but expect to have to do further clarification with the salvage yard and even then expect to be told they don't have a suitable part.
Would I use them again? It would depend on what I was looking for.”
“Received a quote from one of 1st Choice's partners quickly. Took a couple of days to contact them due to Bank Holiday weekend payment made 27/06/2020 delivery anticipated 29/06/2020. Payment processed 02/06/2020, so slightly concerned that partner may have been slow to process order. No sign of delivery by Monday 1st June. Contacted seller informed problem with Courier promised 2nd/3rd June still no sign by the 4th seller contacted again on Friday 5th promised to chase up courier which I am guessing they did although when seller contacted on Saturday they had been unable to contact courier (TNT) office other than by e-mail item finally delivered Saturday pm and was as described. So happy with the part but delay in delivery was disappointing.
Previous 1st Choice feedback forms rather limited in options and could do with options ie seller contacted, order placed, awaiting delivery. Still I got the part which was the main thing..”

Saving money is our top priority however smaller items, after adding delivery costs, can sometimes make the price seem higher.
It also depends on whether the parts are available and those in short supply, can sometimes come with a premium.
We try to find the best price and it may be worth repeating a request, a day or two later.

“Very good with sending your info out to car breakers and getting quick replays.How ever I feel that they should investigate some of the sellers on their website particular the Car and Van Breakers known as ROYTONS Car and Van Breakers Ltd of Oldham. The reason for this is because they say that they have the part you want. Then take your money and you receive nothing in return. To top it all when you ring them, email them you get no response .”

“Can't fault first choice but my experience with one of your suppliers has been horrendous. I agreed to purchase the part from Hancock car dismantling and paid the £33 plus £11 delivery, when the part arrived it was found not fit for purpose. I immediately contacted Mr Hancock who said he was on holiday and would refund me when he returned. After many phone calls with Mr Hancock I still haven't received anything. I returned the item as requested for a cost of £7.50. and given details of my bank card but there seems to be one excuse after another, please warn all your other customers.”
