“I needed a light switch fixed. The guy came out and failed to fix it on two occasions. I got another electrician who fixed it in one visit. I was billed by 0800handyman for both failed visits. I did not pay the second but I had already paid for the first failed visit and I did not get that money back.”

“Came on time, did the repair as asked, tidied up, charged what they said they were going to charge. This is the sort of service that other companies aspire to, but eludes them as they never put themselves in the shoes of the customer.”

“My husband does not enjoy DIY and so I rely on 0800 HANDYMAN when I need to get jobs down well and efficiently. Good questions are asked before the visit and the team have always arrived with what they need to get the job done.”

“I needed an electrician to install a new light fixture in hall but the guy sent was not a qualified electrician and could not get it to work. A qualified electrician was sent a few day later who managed to fix it quite quickly. When I order an electrician I expect an electrician with the proper qualifications to be sent. Very disappointing as I have had very good experiences with other tradesmen previously but will do my best to avoid using again.”

“I was happy that handyman came on time but God was he slow in doing the work!! I'm not sure if it was intentional but I was on the verge of chucking him out of my house. He didn't install one of the items items I wanted put up and it's cozcoz I couldn't stand him any longer and course is was costing me money. It's the third time I've used this company and the first two times the handymen were quick and did a good job. This one was too slow and the some of the work wasn't even good. Saying that though I would still come back but make sure I get a different handyman...probably younger and hopefully my request will be honoured.”

“Very accommodating at short notice. Gary was very helpful and visited a number of times to do a range of tasks following a house move including plumbing, light fittings, picture hanging. Efficient, technically competent and speedily completed.”

“Job specs were very poorly coveyed to our handyman who showed up with an empty van with none of the tools we'd recommended he bring. But worse than that he didn't even have a basic tool box with him. It was a frustrating and very Un-professional service.”

“I was considering changing a light fitting over a high staircase, along with a couple of minor electrical tasks. I rang to ask if you would have a ladder long enough - ceiling height above the staircase is 4.2 meters. I was told someone would call me back...but no one did!”

Hello Ros Sorry to hear about your issue we have been in touch with you and left a voicemail as well. As I think we explained we have been looking into hiring an additional specialist ladder for you due to the non-standard nature of the staircase. The staircase is of great height and a difficult angle, apologies that this has taken a little longer than you hoped but we would be delighted to help.Please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will arrange a free callback.

“Had a serious electrical malfunction in my property in South London recently, electrician came out and fixed it for me making my property safe for me as the current situation was not. Extremely satisfied to say the least.”

“The lady I spoke to today was so nice and so helpful. I haven't always found this to be the case, however, with the person who picks up the phone. And I have been a little mucked around with appointments sometimes. But the handyman work itself is usually good.”

“On time efficient and very polite. I like the concept of booking a handyman and knowing that they will turn up to do my job with no extra effort needed from my side. Have had so many troublesome experiences in the past with cowboys so its a relief to know i can rely on 0800Handyman.”
