I purchased a digital bat detector for my husband’s birthday. It plugs into his phone and via an app, identifies the species. Previously, we used an old fashioned bat detector with a dial that we had to turn then guess the bat based in the frequency. Last night, the new detector identified 3 different species in our garden when previously we only identified one.
