I bought a Selkirk Chromo in king size, and was extremely impressed with the quality of the bedstead once it was delivered. The bed frame is incredibly heavy, and constructed very well - I think it will certainly last me my lifetime! I love the fact that it has two height options for your mattress as I have multiple health issues, and being in a “higher up bed” suits my needs perfectly. The bed was pretty straightforward to put together by myself, although I did struggle to attach the rod (which keeps the curved chrome rail attached to the head/footboard), and gave up altogether with trying to do the one for the footboard, as there was an obstruction in the centre tube preventing the rod from being inserted fully. I simply cobbled together a way for the rail to be held in place, although not as securely as it would be if the rod was inserted as supposed. All in all, I would highly recommend The Original Bedstead Company despite the difficulties I had with the rod issue! One thing The Original Bedstead Company may like to look at, is altering their preferred Couriers...ArrowXL were completely shambolic from start to finish, and only for the fact that Malcolm at The Original Bedstead Company was SO helpful in the issues I had with the couriers, I would have totally lost my temper. Well done OBC in both excellent customer service skills and manufacturing beautifully made, high quality bedsteads!
