My wife and I met Mike in 2016 after almost giving up all hope on finding an architect that listened to what we wanted and then making it better, instead of us accepting what they wanted us to do. It was like a breath of life in our moment of giving up and selling the house. Mike Completely understood our ideas and made them work, but he did this in a way that exceeded what we we originally wanted and at the same time we got exactly what we asked for (if this makes sense) We own a grade II listed Georgian townhouse so we had a lot of constraints on what we could do and materials we could use, on the other hand our budget wasn’t as big as what it should have been. We originally had a galley kitchen running off the back of house which was horrible and the only bathroom was on the 3rd floor. Mike proposed to knock down the kitchen completely and add on a 40m2 kitchen and a two story side extension to the property adding on an extra bathroom and WC. It was a risk putting this forward for planning and listed building consent but afterwards we were informed that the planning committee had said that the design we put forward was probably the best design they had approved in the last 3 years. They said that the design made the house look better and at the same time in keeping with the age and style of the house. To cut a long story short.
