I was told my order would be delivered in 4-6 weeks from the purchase date of 20th March. On Friday 26th March I received a call to say they had arrived in the warehouse and The next available date for delivery was Friday 3rd May which I was fairly happy with. On Friday 3rd The delivery man called and said he was having trouble finding parking as there is a red route on the main road and his vehicle is too big to enter the estate as they feel they would have trouble reversing out. I did not see the vehicle but after going back and forth with the courier he advised Me to contact SCS to get the sofas redelivered in a smaller vehicle. When I contacted the distribution centre they said the next available date was 10 days later on the 13th May. At this point I was very frustrated as 10 days is a long time after waiting so long already. Anyway I received a call on Monday 13th from a driver to say he was on his way, I then used my initiative to ask if they were in a smaller vehicle as that was the issue before, he then said he was in a large vehicle, so he’ll give me a call back to see what was going on. Once he called me back he said he was going to deliver it to my local store who would then deliver it to me, after 3 calls to them, at 8pm I was told the delivery would not be going ahead. The following day I received a call, a colleague called and said that the store messed up , and the next Available day they could deliver was Wednesday 15th at 10am. On Wednesday 15th At 10.30am I called the DC again as I hadn’t received the sofa or a phone call to give me an update. The lady I spoke with said a courier was coming to collect it and that they would deliver it today. An hour later she called back and asked if I was aware I would need to pay £59 to the courier, I had already paid that fee back in March so NO was my answer, she explained that the store would refund me later. At this point my frustration levels had reached an all time high, I explained that I did not have £59 to give and they would need to sort something out, she then said the store would pay and the sofas would be with me soon. An hour and a half later the courier arrived. They attempted to bring the sofas in and said that it couldn’t fit through the door and I would need to pay £120 PER sofa for them to dismantle it and put it back together inside my home but it wasn’t possible to do today. So I still haven’t got the sofas 8 weeks later.I don’t think I would even use the company again!
