A Repair Aid workman came last week and installed a new rubber collar (if that's the term?) in my washer. It is now working perfectly, and I am very happy with the work, even though it wasn't cheap! (£80 call out charge for his first visit, and another £80 or so for coming again to install the collar) - but hopefully well worth it.
