I sent my v5 off on wed and on Thursday got a confirmation email, it's done put your new plates on, I wasn't sure so I phoned up the dvlc and yes, hey presto sorted, 1 day to change it over, I couldn't be happier, excellent service, excellent after sales too, thanks primo👍👍
