A carer comes in every day to live with my mother, and look after all her needs. However, instead of doing things on her own, the caregiver made sure to include my mother every step of the way. For instance, when preparing meals for my mother, the caregiver made sure to include her in order to make her feel “in-charge” of all the meals, especially the groceries, and small errands around the home as well.
