Where does one start with ‘Fat Lad at the Back’? Apart from the obvious fact they make cycling attire for people who are larger than Chris Froome on a bad day, thery also make cycling attire that is not only comfort but of damn good quality. I know this because I still have some stuff that is 5 years old from their original lines. Granted, I’m not a heavy cyclist at the moment, but I used to be. Not only does their stuff fit a bigger person comfortably and make them lookely shapely from behind, but it allows you to enjoy riding that bike for much longer journeys than would ordinarily be possible. It keeps you warm, it keeps you cold, it keeps you dry - but it doesn’t keep you wet. Apparently ithas some wick effect that stops you keeping wet. I don’t know if that’s a Yorkshire term or an official scientific term - whatever it is, it works. When you look at those prices, you might think ‘bloody ‘ell!’ But let me assure you, you are being the good stuff - not that eBay stuff. You are buying stuff that can adapt to a change in size to more than a few inches of the belt size. You are buying jerseys and jackets that can hold your phone, your keys and most importantly - several pork pies. How else are you supposed to maintain energy for some of those lengthy bikes rides without a supply of pies? ;-) This isn’t any old cycling attire you are buying. It’s not even M&S cycling attire you are buying. This is FAT LAD attire you are buying. This is not only to be worn, it is a sign that you are proud of who you are, that you are part of a big family (though the family does find itself getting smaller ;-) ) The joy you will get from weating this attire is not something that can be measured in Pounds Shillings & Pence. The fresh air, the improved health (mental and physical) and those places you get to see when doing less than 60mph in a car! Never be afraid to invest in Fat Lad - never heard of any unhappy customer yet!
