I was a little nervous spending this much on a watch but had been left some money by my late father so decided to treat myself and have the watch engraved with his initials and the years he was alive. I didn't just want a 'brand' name - not that I have anything against them and have owned many big brand names over the years. I wanted something British and a little bespoke if possible. Suffice to say I needn't have worried as the moment I opened the box I knew I'd made the right decision. The build quality is second to none and the minute I held the Farer Lander I felt the build quality in my hands. I cannot say how much I love this watch having worn it for a few days now. The attention to detail is amazing and you can tell this has been assembled by true professionals in Switzerland and not mass produced in a factory in China. I love the bronze crown - a subtle but beautiful touch, and the sea green dial which changes with the light. I love the combo of retro touches but packaged together in a modern way - there is nothing on the market that looks like this and it certainly isn't going to be mistaken for anything else. I can't wait to see what Farer do next and I suspect that this won't be my first and last watch from them. I'd better start saving!
