“I nearly chose the wrong supplier! I was about to order a Bambu lab P1S from a competitor of Additive-X. But after a conversation with a bored sounding man on a hard to hear phone line I tried Additive-X. What a difference. I had a pleasant and informative conversation with Rachel who answered all of my questions on a clear phone line. I did a quick check on their web site and found a well organised and long established firm. After placing my order I received a call from Rachel asking if I realised that there would be a delay in the delivery as they were waiting for a shipment to arrive. I said that I was aware that all suppliers were waiting for the same shipment. So I expected to have to wait at least a couple of weeks. But it actually arrived within a few days. It was well packaged and undamaged. After setting up the printer I had difficulty connecting to the internet. So I phoned Additive-X and was passed on to Chris Furlong, an extremely helpful and patient engineer, who spent a couple of hours, including with a video link, trying to work out what the problem was. After a lunch break Chris phoned me back to suggest a possible solution, after consulting with his colleagues, that my WiFi may be operating at 5GHz instead of the required 2.4GHz and that my extension that I have installed could well be set to the correct frequency. This was indeed the case and so my problem was solved. Just imagine what would have happened if I’d chosen the other supplier with the bored person on the bad phone line? So thank you Chris for your extreme patience. And thank you Rachel for helping me make the right decision to order from Additive-X. A very satisfied customer. Warwick Kemp.”

“what can i say, this place is a blessing. been wanting a bambu labs printer for awhile but was put off buying one from bambu themselves as the customer service is pretty bad, so i did a search looking for somewhere in the uk that supplies the bambu printers, and these turned up and less than an hour away from me BONUS!, So i did abit of research and looked at their outstanding reviews across a few platforms. I gave them a ring and spoke to a member of the team (sorry forgot your name) who put me at ease straight away regarding my concerns for customer support. I was even offered a tour around the showroom and workshop when i came to collect my printer. Well i placed my order for my P1P and arranged to collect the following week. so took time off work and invited my friend to come along, We was met in reception by a young lady who then introduced us to the same team member i spoke to on the phone, he took us into the showroom and for a good 45min myself and my friend was blown away by the various different printers on show and what they can do, also we didnt feel like we was rushed around he took time to explain what every different machine did. This company is bigger than you think and wether you are just buying a £500 printer or a £60000 printer, you get the same level of customer service no matter what. What more could you ask for. So first off thank you so much for making me at ease with my purchase and thank you for taking time to show me and my friend around, it was a pleasure to meet you and a pleasure doing business with you. I will see you in a few months for my AMS upgrade xx”

“If Apple made a 3d printing company, Additive X would be it. In that, I mean the great parts of Apple.... I bought my Bambu Labs X1 Carbon from them in October 2023, rather than directly from the British arm of Bambu Labs and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. Bambu is a fast growing company, however their customer support arm hasn't grown at the same speed. That's where Additive X comes in. Last week I had a fan burn out, which in turn made the hot end disintegrate. This obviously put the machine out of business. I tried to get in touch with Bambu, however the usual, ('we are experiencing a busy period at the moment') and after two days of waiting, I decided to get it touch with Additive X for some help, as I am in mid print on an order and can't afford the wait time. Now usually after the first thirty days, It becomes a manufacturer problem, but Craig from the Technical Dept was on it in a flash. After trying to help on the phone he decided that a hands on approach would be better and seeming's he was travelling south that day from Ripon to Oxford he would call in on the way and sort the problem himself. Oxford is on the centre west of England, Norfolk is not.... so this was a massive result for me as he was travelling miles out of way to get me up and running again. The fact that we are both ex military may have been a factor, but hell, what a bloke! Within four hours of me speaking to him my printer was up and running again, with all parts replaced. Normally I would have had to wait for the parts to arrive from Bambu, but not with Additive X, the parts came from stock, so I can't thank them, (especially Craig), enough. If you buy directly from Bambu, you get six months of cheaper filament, however the service from Additive X, FAR OUT WAYS the filament thing and anyway, Bambu's filament is not that cheap in comparison to others. I will one hundred percent be buying more from Additive X, such as a further AMS, when more stock arrives. In short, don't buy direct, BUY FROM ADDITIVE X.”
