The account of this beach on your website is dangerously wrong .. there is no easy safe access. The access is made by abseiling down a rope installed by locals since the dangerous cliffs collapsed. The local coastguard warn against attempting this descent (and ascent) since a landslides during the pandemic took away the new metal stairway. Need to stand well away from the cliffs at all times .. someone was hammering the rocks for fossils causing another collapse & they had to be rescued by helicopter Only parking for 6 in small lay-by at top of 800ft cliffs with double yellow lines elsewhere as Lane very narrow. (See 2 pics) No facilities at top or bottom of 800 ft cliff and very uneven & steep ground between. Nearest toilet provision Staithes. Shops in Hinderwell & Staithes. Access can be made at low tide from Staithes .. yesterday someone was trapped by the rising tide and was rescued by Staithes and Runswick RNLI “ Launched at 2:15pm Friday 29th April after reports of a person cut off by the tide at Port Mulgrave. The lifeboat crew located the casualty, recovered him to the lifeboat and landed him safely at Staithes.”
