“Teenage Cancer Trust is lucky to have The Event Academy as a dedicated long term partner. This fantastic team has raised over £150,000 to support young people with cancer over almost a decade. Led by extremely talented course leaders, their students organise fundraising events as part of their course. We are blown away by the professional and original events they turn round over a short space of time, each one raising significant funds and bringing innovate ideas to the table. Not only that students have volunteered at numerous Teenage Cancer Trust event, helping the charity to generate much needed funds. Working with such a wonderful partner over such a long period, has allowed us to develop a really strong and effective relationship and it makes everyone at Teenage Cancer Trust very happy indeed! More than that, their impact for young people going through treatment for cancer is huge. Thank you!”

“I completed the Intensive Diploma and loved every second. Since the course and being able to add my qualification to my CV, I have been flying high in my career within the events industry. “High level material and quite prompt response of the tutors. I completed the online event certificate a couple of years ago. The course was ok, the level was high and they had quite good material. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because to the most important part of the course, I haven't received any feedback of my project at all and exam. And I am talking about the leave behind document (last task) precisely where we had to create a proposal for the 'client'. This part was part of the examination process and it would be marked along with the exam, where for me it is an essential if not the most important part of the course, where they suppose to tell you what were your mistakes and what you should have done better. They just put a mark and end of story, leaving you with the doubts of what you could have done better etc.. although i am sure now they suppose to be better.”

“I decided to join the postgraduate course in Events Management very last minute but couldn't be happier with my decision. Unlike my undergraduate degree where most of my lecturers didn't know my name, the lecturers and course director are there to support you every step of the way and give regular and constructive feedback throughout. Particularly valuable was the help given with job applications including interview skills. I have learnt so much and feel thoroughly prepared for a career in events. I can't wait to start my internship in April!”

“What a course, what a journey! It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have undertaken. The course (post-grad online) is second to none with inspiring, knowledgeable, and leading in their field tutors. They share firsthand experience and guidance that is invaluable when embarking on a career in events. Despite learning online, the course is very interactive – there are two projects where you will have the opportunity to work with your peers, some of whom are based on the other side of the world. My journey has been challenging working full time and everything else life throws in the way, but the encouragement and motivation of my tutor, Clare, has got me through. I have met amazing people and made some friends for life. My only wish is that I had done this course earlier in my career. That said, I have new skills and a deeper understanding that apply to all the events in my current role and valid experience I shall take as I navigate my career. Having researched many courses in events, it becomes difficult to understand or know which course is right for you. This course is not just good value for money. It is accredited by the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) which is recognised internationally as a base mark for marketers. This makes this stand out; in addition to the talented tutors (leading in their field) and the vast experience of various events from festivals to weddings to fashion shows – the course covers everything! If you live in London – attend in person – striking that bond with your tutors – you'll never know what it might lead to (work experience in events); you'll also get to ask questions live and in person. If you can't make it to London, enrol on the online courses – they are just as good, and it’s an opportunity to make friends with people across the globe! “I recently completed the Events Management online diploma, whilst working full time. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found the content engaging. I enjoyed the pace of the online course as you can complete the modules at a time that was suitable for your lifestyle. The lectures were very informative and Student Services always answered any queries I had in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the Event Academy for anyone starting out in Event Management or currently working in the industry to strengthen their skills.”

“I’ve loved doing the online diploma course. The course content was so well constructed and I really felt involved with the academy even though I was solo studying at home. The directions for completing the final project and exam were really clear, and student services have been so helpful and quick to respond. The only negative comment I have is, I got no feedback once I’d completed the course. This is a little disappointing as I feel like I’ve dedicated all that time and get no written comments back at all other than my grade. Other than this, I couldn’t recommend the Event Academy enough to get a step up in the events world.”

“The Event Academy run an amazing course which I was very lucky to be a part of from February 2023 until May 2023. I did the Diploma in Event Management for Marketing and Communications and loved it! Every staff member of The Event Academy and their guest speakers were all super helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about their industry which was lovely to experience. No question could ever be classed as a silly one - they always found an answer for you! The course was 2 nights a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2.5 hours at a time. We crammed lots in but the time seemed to fly by. Each session was different and really information and packed full of very useful information. Met some amazing likeminded peers who were also lovely and it was refreshing to study alongside people who actually want to learn. I would highly recommend this course!”

“When joining the Event Academy my aim was to update my event knowledge and skills in order to gain a permanent role within the industry and I am thrilled to say after completing my online diploma that I have a role within an incredibly exciting event team. Within in 3 weeks I had been out in Amsterdam, twice, and since then have the prospect of travelling even further afield. If you are thinking about joining the Event Academy - do it! It is the best investment. Huge thank you to Lorne for making sure I chose the right course that suited my needs and to Rosie, Rebecca and all the team who delivered brilliant seminars and offered constant guidance and support. Finally a huge shout out to Student Services and to Natalie - I wasn't aware EA helped with recruitment and it is down to her emails and support that I am working in the Events industry as my role is one she suggested. I cannot thank the team enough!”

“If you want to become an Event Planner, this is the course for you. Even though I was not living in the UK I felt part of the team. The online workshops were done in such a way that everyone was included. Clare has a genuine passion for her work and her students and nothing is too much trouble. All online workshops were interactive and informative. The library of videos covering the different subjects were professionally produced and gave valuable information that can be instantly applied to being an Event Planner. The projects are set up in a way that you get to cover all aspects of event planning. This course is excellent value for money and you will walk away ready to be a Event Planner.”

“I had a great time with the Event Academy. It had been just what the doctor ordered. I found it as i wanted to step up in my events career, but what I discovered was more lessons in project management and marketing to accompany the curriculum, which really came in handy. Made me care more about the environment with "Sustainability", validate my "Creativity" as well as understanding "Budget", "Risk Assessment" and "Production" a lot more. Though is was an intense two weeks, the course and tutors were very helpful, accommodating and comforting, provided a very resourceful online system, met some wonderful people and visited some cool places, some of which, whilst close to me, had never even stepped inside. With my schedule this is all i could afford both conveniently and financially but is very worth it and has provided me with the confidence to seek out experience and engage with the various companies in the sector. “I strongly recommend completing the Event Academy's Diploma in Event Management Course. This course is accredited by the highly reputable Chartered Institute of Marketing. The course content is comprehensive but delivered in a digestible way by industry professionals. I selected the ‘blended’ learning option, which was very flexible, as it allowed me to participate in the class discussions and complete the coursework at my own pace. The course materials include videos, and downloadable documentation as well as, live job opportunities that students can apply for. Through the course, I have made a lot of connections with event industry professionals including, Natalie from the Event Academy team who regularly keeps in contact and assists me with finding event jobs. I cannot recommend this course enough.”

“It was great to finally to a study that’s actually related to my field of work and that enables studying next to a full time job. It wasn’t too easy which often happens with online courses, but it was still doable due to flexibility and timing of courses.”
