I have to admit I went into watching this film with a different one in mind, I thought it was about two rival magicians trying to out do each other, after about 20 minutes my wife told me that was the Prestige, so what was this one about I asked her, "a love story" she said, "yippee" I said sarcastically.
Probably because of this I did not get into it enough to give it a good review as I was not intending to watch this kind of film. The story line moved very slow and very predictably, you could see the twist at the end coming a mile off. With this strong and talented cast the acting could not be faulted, the costumes were superb to the finest detail it just lacked a credible script, if some of these illusions were performed today I would be speechless nether mind over a 100 years ago. I would only give this 4 out of 10
