I wanted to see this film at the cinema, but due to one reason or another just didn't. So I have finally seen it on DVD.
Although it is a long film, it was thoroughly enjoyable, Jake Gyllenhaal was great in the lead role (I was able to see Jake in a play in London years ago before he made it big and you could tell then he was destined for big things). Robert Downey Jnr. is also fabulous in a supporting role as a reporter who through drink and his obsession with the zodiac killer looses everything including his career and credibility. I am not to sure how true to life this film is but if it is all true then it is no wonder they never caught this guy because of the ineptitude of all the different police forces not communicating and helping each other, if they did who knows what may have happened? I would highly recommend this film to anyone (although it is a little long) and I would give it 8 out of 10
