I found this book on 'Lulu.com' I was intrigued so I bought it. I have never read any of the author-John Burnham-books before, but it was fantastic! I couldn't put it down. The story is based in the UK but spans the entire globe. The book deals with a possible answer to what happens after death and provides a plausible explaination. Steve latimer, one of the main charcaters, can communicate with the world of spirit and with his guide, Ramas, and ancient egyptian, travels the world on journeys of adventure.Being based in both the real and ethereal worlds for me gives the book a unique perspective. Some parts of the book, particularly the ex-nazi soldiers story, really bought a tear to my eye, it can be a hard hitting and poignant read at times. It has stories within stories which intertwine to form the complete picture and a great read. I would recommend this book to anyone- even if you don't believe in life after death - it's still a 470 page, brilliant first novel!
