Kenwood BM200 Breadmaker Reviews

As an avid Panasonic user especially the bread makers and having owned 4 and given three of them away to relatives and upgraded. Also after having made brilliant bread from all of them, my own recipes and theirs, I was totally unprepared to be faced with a New Panasonic SD255 that is nearly unuseable.

I have had three problems with it 1, The seed feed tray keeps sticking and then disperses all the seeds over the cooked bread when the lid opens and get trapped down the bottom of the cooker. 2) The alarm does not ring loud enough for a normal person to hear within 3m. 3) When the seed dispenser does work the loaves turn out uneven.

Why do I not take it back under warranty? Panasonic will not even think about repair or replacement as they call it second hand.

Even though the Bread maker was new when I received it...still sealed in it's original box with the plastic wrapper still intact I DID NOT PURCHASE IT DIRECT FROM THE SHOP. It was relayed on to me as a present as the original purchaser gave it to his neice as a wedding present, who did not want it.

Surely a company as large as Panasonic does not break if it bends it's own rules a little.

Be aware DO NOT to purchase any Panasonic equipment as a gift if you are not going to hand the receipt over....and who does?
