Touchpanel mobile

This was one of the first touchpanel mobile phones released by samsung. The shape and style of the E900 is great, a quality feel to the materials and the slide mechanism is smooth. The screen is very clear and bright and the icons are colourful. The menus are simple to scroll through using the central joypad. The number pad is easy to use as they are quite large and positioned well at the bottom of the phone. The main thing which lets this phone down is the touchpanel.... this is supposed to be the main selling feature of the phone yet I found it to be the most frustrating to use. It is very easy to catch the touchpanel when adjustiong the position of the phone in your hand or against your ear, several times i have dropped a call accidently or backed out half way through a text message. Very annoying! The camera is very good quality and has a good light for them night time shots. The quality of the video footage is good too. In normal lighting conditions the screen is excellent but when you are in bright daylight / sun then it suffers from fading alot making it very difficult o view without shading it. Overall it is a good phone but I was disappointed with the frustrating touch controls..... enough to put me off having another!
