I bought the Jane Powertwin after some feedback on parenting fora and it seemed to fit my needs perfectly for two children, 17 months apart. It is one of the two double tandems on the market that are travel system compatible. (Including Graco Stadium Duo) I felt it was very important to have my youngest baby facing me from birth. However the back seat of the Powertwin lies flat(ish) and is suitable from birth. You can also use it for twins with two car seats as two sets of adapters are included. The pushchair is not exactly lightweight at 14kgs but it honestly does not feel heavy to push or steer because of the pneumatic tyres. It has quite a long wheelbase as all tandems do, but measures up at only a few inches longer than a single three wheeler pram. It is one of the smallest folding doubles available and all the wheels pop off to condense it further. I can fit it into the boot of a VW Polo!

Hoods: These fold/extend easily and are easy to remove if desired, ie to give your eldest extra head room. Give good coverage and sun protection.

Seats: Well padded with one handed recline mechanism, the back seat recline to about 20 degrees, the front seat only reclines to one position. Harnesses safe and very easy to click and adjust.

Handlebar: ergonomic, extremely comfortable to hold, adjustable to 4 positions, Handbrake on handle bar very easy to apply.

Brake: One handbrake for front wheel, handy for going down hills.
Footbrake applied with foot bar, difficult to apply with back seat reclined, prone to sticking down and making the wheels click as you push! But very secure brake when applied, even on hills.

Travel System: I use with Jane Rebel car seat, can also be used with Matrix. Easy to click into place and remove. Can be used on front seat also, thus giving a space in the back for eldest child to recline and nap.

Frame and general build: aluminium chassis, excellent quality feel to it.

Raincover included: this pops out from a small spiral fold secured with elastic. Great coverage and protection.

Shopping basket: Decent size, access from the side only. When the car seat is being used there are lots of other nooks and crannies to stow away shopping!

Overall it is a fantastic pushchair for twins or two children of different ages and is a delight to push and steer, easy to fold and store and will last right through to when eldest child walks everywhere. The only slight drawbacks I have found is the lack of apparent headroom at the front for the toddler, this is remedied by taking the hood off if desired. It is also easy for the toddler to kick the swivel wheel lock by accident meaning you have a sudden loss of swivel and you have to go to the front wheel to sort it out. The brake can be difficult to apply with the back seat reclined or with the car seat in use. The back seat although suitable from birth is not very cosy or cocoon like, therefore I preferred to use the car seat attached for my youngest.

Very hard to fault really, it has been a godsend to me with a close-age gap! You will not be disappointed, and I believe it to be the best tandem double on the market!
