Cosatto Duet 'lite' (its not!)

This is good pushchair on first inspection, it is sturdy well made and very comfy for both newborn (with a cosytoes, it makes a lovely lie flat bed) and your toddler in the front. However it is so heavy I couldn't maneovre it so sold it on very quickly. Its a shame as it is compact for a tandem I loved everything else about it just impossible to use as hard to steer, get up kerbs etc. I've gone back to a side by side which is easier.

I have this pushchair, the cosatto duet lite. I love the idea of it being a compact buggy in which you can put a baby and toddler, as most other tandems are very long and heavy and difficult to fit into the car. This buggy looks smart, compact and looks easy to push and maneuver.

But in reality the buggy is heavy and impossible to get up kerbs I have to stand on the back to push it up a kerb which I am sure isn't doing the buggy any good.

Also as i am not very tall at 5' 3" i find the handles very high and make my arms hurt so can't push it that far, adjustable handles would have improved this model.

Another mistake with this pushchair is the fact that the front seat is fixed. Obviously it could not recline as the baby would be squashed in the back. But it would have been helpful if perhaps there had been a lever and you could move the seat forward, like in a 2/3 door car when the seat comes up. This would make getting the baby or younger child into the back seat much easier. As it is, it is quite difficult to maneuver little one between the front seat and the hood on the buggy.

On the plus side this buggy is compact, fits into the car when folded. Fits through doorways and looks smart. It has two hoods that cover both seats and comes with a large raincover that covers the whole of the pushchair.

I would suggest maybe a narrow twin side by side, or if you've got your heart set on a tandem then don't buy brand new. There are lot's of perfectly good second hand ones at reasonable prices, then if you do decide that you don't like this one then at least you haven't spend a small fortune on it!
