This drill performed well for 11 months. It was quite heavy, but cheap to buy with a free drill set worth £40 free at the time. Unfortunately the place of purchase cannot replace this anymore as they no longer stock it, so I have paid the extra to buy Makita. The chuck started jamming at 9 months old but I greased it and it loosened again. At 11 months the trigger jammed and started smoking from the motor whilst using to screw some softwood. A light task, yet it just melted!
I had to pull the battery to stop it completely catching light. JCB helpline just said "Oh dear, return it to the place of purchase". Not a lot of help as they won't replace it. The trigger control is what has burn't out on investigation. Poorly made, cheap components used. Would not recommend this product or brand as the products are cheap and customer service is Non existant!!
