Spybot search and destroy

In the ever growing webworld of Malware, rootkits and annoying virus programs, thankfully there are companies and individuals out there hard at work trying to keep our browsing experience as safe and hassle free as possible.
Spybot search and destroy is one such product.
A free utility that does as it says, "not just remove the easy malware". I say free, users can make a donation.
With easy to use interface and setup thats very user friendly.
And whether you make a donation or not, you still get the full product and all regular updates, including immunise which use methods in your browser to block out a huge percentage of malware in the first place.
Ive tested the product for many years and found on the whole, it to be a very good defence against an ever growing problem.
That said there are some issues, though I havent tested in the new 1.6 version "tea timer " was just an annoyance that had to be switched off, which is a real shame. Also when running the program on *OS Vista the program does demand high CPU usage, even on a powerful PC.
There is also a download for rootkits, which I at present found did nothing, and as of yet no of no defence (except *UAC in Vista) that can detect or safetly remove to this date.
Ok so it doesnt run in real time but immunise cuts out the biggest part of the problem.

In the credits the maker dedicates to the most beautiful girl in the world, a nice touch to well made piece of software.

*OS-operating system
*UAC-user account control
